Barbara Ellen Moore

Barbara Ellen Moore, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville with her family by her side.  She was born November 26, 1935 in Bridgeport, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Robert and Edna Jeannette Ault Willerton.

Barb retired from Riesbeck’s Food Stores as a cashier with 30 years of service.  She was very active in her younger days with memberships in East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, Belmont County Fair Board, 4-H Leader for many years, Treasurer of AARP Group, Oakleigh Garden Club, Treasurer of T.O.P.S., Former State Parent of Future Homemakers of America and an avid card player with many clubs.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Moore; a son, Paul Collins; a daughter, Nancy Vannest; a brother, Bob Willerton; a sister, Mary Jane Lofton.

Surviving are her daughter, Christy Collins; her former husband, Clifford W. Collins; a daughter-in-law, Bev (Mike) McConnell; a son-in-law, Bruce Vannest, all of Bethesda, Ohio; siblings, Patricia Shimble of Bridgeport, Peggy (Don) Conners of Bellaire, Ohio and Janice (Danny) McMahon of Bellaire; grandchildren, Joshua (Beth) Collins, Laura (Dusty) Marinucci, Abby (Marc) Stenger, Matthew (Tessa) Vannest, Brian (Elaine) Vannest, Melissa (Matthew) Muzic and Jennifer Vannest; great grandchildren, Willa, Elias and Emory Collins, Lyra, Luca and Ihly Marinucci, Everett, Henry and Nolan Vannest, Andrew, Daniel Muzic, Collins and Banks Stenger; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, with funeral services on Tuesday at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Jerry Wenger officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
