William Mark Martinko

William Mark Martinko, 86, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri. A private family visitation will be held Sunday, July 6th, at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, Missouri, at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be on Wednesday, July 9th, at the Belmont Cemetery, in Belmont, Ohio.

William (Bill) was born May 20th, 1939, in Loomis, OH, the son of John Lewis and Elizabeth Ann (Rafe) Martinko. He served in the Air Force Reserves, was a carpet layer, owned his own truck, hauled hazardous material and drove an armored car.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. He owned and admired old cars. He lived in Ohio, Delaware, and moved to Missouri in 2012.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, John, in 2018.

His survivors include his nephew, John H. Martinko (Tina) of Bates City, MO; niece, Lisa M. Bullard of Lee’s Summit, MO; seven great nephews, and nieces: Shane Martinko, Ryan Martinko, Daniel Martinko, Seth Martinko, Brianna Walters, Amanda Crowther, and Sean Bullard; and 14 great-great nephews and nieces.
