Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs covering various dates from July 13 through July 16 are reported below.
July 13, 2025
11:58 am. A complainant at the station reported a cryptocurrency theft. The crypto firm told the person the funds were still in place and the complainant had no proof the money was missing. Information taken and person advised they need to verify the money is missing.
July 14, 2025
1:46 am – A caller from Belmont-Morristown Road reported that a female came up to him and said someone was following/chasing her. She did not want it reported to the authorities. The deputy dispatched and could not locate the woman.
July 15, 2025
11:02 pm – B & E, theft reported at a Main Street, Warnock address. Tools and wiring were missing. The complainant will make a list of items taken.
July 16, 2025
5:07 pm – Officer dispatched to a Flatrock Road, Somerset Twp. address to check on an abandoned vehicle. No contact with the owner of the vehicle.
6:24 pm – 911 hang ups from a Smith Township residence. Busy on call back. The landline has exhibited issues recently. It may be related to the storm.
7:42 pm – Welfare check on a person at a Union Township address. A person has not been seen in almost two weeks. Door open, person found inside who appeared alert and oriented. The person does not want any resources.
10:05 pm – At the Pilot Travel Center caller reports property damage to the door of a Peterbilt truck.
