Loruma B. “Lori” (Jones) Brokaw

Loruma “Lori” Jones Brokaw, age 83, of 68319 Morristown Flushing Road, Belmont, Ohio died at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, in WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born March 27, 1942, in Monongalia County, West Virginia; a daughter of the late Asa Jones and Lula Margaret Williams Jones.

She was a 1960 graduate of Cadiz High School. She worked in sales for several years and spent a lot of years being a caregiver for various family members. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She was the “Yard Sale Queen” according to her sons-in-law. She was a member of the Belmont Church of Christ and the Belmont County Museum association. She also was a co-founder, owner, and operator of the Hillbilly Hide-Away Campground in Freeport, Ohio until 2004.

Her husband David Lee Brokaw died on April 9, 2025. They were married March 11, 1961.

Surviving are three daughters: Susan Lenevich of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kathy (Rich) Delbridge of Belmont, Ohio, and Leanne (John) Howell of Flushing, Ohio; five grandsons: Craig (Roberta)  Lenevich of Marion Center, Pennsylvania, Vincent Lenevich of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Richie (Casie) Delbridge of Fort Wayne, Indiana, John (Cecilia) Howell of Port Royal, Pennsylvania, and Ben (Devin) Howell of Flushing, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Faith, Craig, and Emmett Lenevich, David “Davy” Howell, Helena Mona “Ina” Howell; two brothers: Tomas D. Jones and John C. Jones, both of Freeport; and a sister: Janet Crabtree of Burton, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James B. Jones.
