Quaker City Bank Robbed, Suspect Sought

Quaker City – The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Citizens National Bank in Quaker City before noon on Friday. The suspect entered the bank and brandished a firearm before demanding money from the tellers. The suspect then demanded that the tellers place the money in a trash bag before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Guernsey County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives responded to the bank to conduct an investigation. Detectives continue to follow up on information and evidence collected from the scene.
A video of the robber leaving the bank and walking towards Main Street was released by the Sheriff’s Office. It may be viewed here.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Lt. Bill Patterson at 740-439-6320. Lt. Patterson also requested that if you live in the area of the bank in Quaker City and have security cameras on your residence, please review the footage from your cameras. If you locate video evidence of the suspect, please contact Lt. Patterson at your earliest convenience.
The Quaker City branch of The Citizens National Bank of Woodsfield opened its doors in 2012 at 209 Broadway Street in the Guernsey County community.
