Rose Marie Ramsay

Rose Marie Hennebert Ramsay passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born June 5, 1932, in Provident, Ohio. She was the youngest daughter of the late Alfred and Carrie Repan Hennebert.

Rose was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 55 years, Richard Ramsay. Together, Rose and Rich built a loving home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where they spent nearly five decades. She was a member of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings and a son-in-law, Harry McClure.

A dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, Rose poured her heart into caring for her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela McClure and Rhonda (Robert) Zimmerman; her grandchildren, Melissa (Matthew) Mansuetto, Ben (Jennifer) Haines, Amy (Jason) Fisher; Matthew (Linda) Ferrell and Taite (Sydney) Ferrell; great grandchildren Tristan (Brittany), Emma (Lee), Kaleb (Clarissa), Samuel, Sydney, Ramsay, Maggie, Zoe, Caysen, Jaxxen, Gunnr, and Lyrica Rose; and one great-great granddaughter, Eleanor, who shared Rose’s birthday. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Rose lived her life by faith, opening her home to others. Her passions were gardening, canning, berry picking and baking. She was famous for her black raspberry pies and homemade bread, which brought comfort and joy to all who tasted them. Rose’s legacy of love, strength and quiet kindness lives on in all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Arbors at Woodsfield for the compassionate care they provided Rose over the past 15 years.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio. The burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
