Calais Area Man Charged with Rape and Gross Sexual Imposition
WOODSFIELD – On or about July 14th, 2025, detectives with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into allegations of rape and sexual assault of a minor. During the course of the investigation, officials compiled information leading to an arrest warrant being issued for Albert Hochstetler, age 41, of Quaker City (Seneca Twp., Monroe County) for two counts of Rape and two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition.
Hochstetler was taken into custody on July 31st by detectives and deputies of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently housed in the Monroe County Jail with a $750,000 bond.
