Epworth Park Adds Butterfly Gardens

BETHESDA – Chasing butterflies is becoming quite a pastime for the residents of Epworth Park. Enjoying the newly built garden is Julianna, granddaughter of cottage owners, Rebecca Latham and Albert Ross.

One of the pinnacles of Epworth Park’s heritage is Chautauqua, and one of the pillars of that movement was the love and preservation of nature.

In addition to our massive oaks, Epworth Park is now strategically placing butterfly gardens throughout the park. A recently completed project was 100% funded through generous donations. We would like to recognize Wallace Landscaping of St. Clairsville, OH, and Hannibal Garden Center of Clarington, OH, for their contribution to making this garden a reality.

The creation of a butterfly garden brings many benefits to our environment.

You are invited to walk the tranquil, serene setting of Epworth Park from dawn to dusk. We are open April 1st thru October 31st in Bethesda, OH. For more information, please visit our website, www.epworthpark.org or contact June Diehl, 740-513-0400.
