Fatal Accident Near Flushing
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident that happened early Saturday morning in Belmont County.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 2:13 a.m. on Township Road 352 near Flushing. A preliminary investigation found that 30-year-old Henry S. Pifer of Massillon was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when a passenger fell from the vehicle.
The passenger, 31-year-old Robert Antonille of Brunswick, was taken to Wheeling Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office and Barnesville EMS assisted at the scene. The case remains under investigation.
