BHS Cross Country Teams Excel at Home Meet
Barnesville hosted an OVCCL Meet on Wednesday, August 27, at the Barnesville Memorial Park Rotary Lake. Eight schools participated in the event. Barnesville’s boys team placed first, with Jayden Barker and Mason Starr finishing at the top for the team. For the girls team, Addy Reed and Bonita Passmore were the top team finishers. Barnesville’s girls team placed second.
Coach Mark Brown was very pleased with his runners. “They improved greatly from the previous week,” said Coach Brown. Brown added, “The much cooler weather was a big factor.”
The Cross Country competes this Saturday, August 30, at the Newcomerstown Invitational in Newcomerstown, Ohio, starting at 10:00 am.
