Half-Staff
The American Flag was flying at half-staff at Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library Thursday afternoon. President Donald Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff at all federal buildings and military installations “as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on August 27, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.”
A gunman opened fire on a Catholic Church as parochial students were marking the opening of the new school year, killing two small children, ages 8 and 10, and injuring 18, mostly children.
