Western Belmont County Candidate Filings
Candidates have filed to be elected or re-elected for office in the upcoming election in November that will take place Nov. 4.
Barnesville and Bethesda village councils will field contests, as will several township trustees, with more candidates filing than positions to fill.
Other contests, including the Barnesville Board of Education, Belmont, Flushing, Holloway and Morristown councils, have fewer candidates than positions available.
The deadline for filing was Aug. 18, while the deadline for write-in candidates was August 25.
Those who made the Aug. 18 filing deadline and appear on the list below are certified and their names will appear on the ballot.
Citizens who filed as write-in candidates whose names appear below will be reviewed for certification at the next election board meeting on September 16. If approved, voters who wish to vote for these candidates will need to write in the candidate’s names when voting.
