Ohio SE Hires Engagement and Partnership Manager

COLUMBUS, OH  — Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) has appointed Amber Kohler as its new Manager of Engagement and Partnerships. Kohler, a Norwich native, began her role on August 19.

Working alongside Destiny Bryson on the OhioSE Engagement Team, Kohler will collaborate with local governments, economic development groups, and regional partners across the organization’s 25-county footprint. Her work will focus on building partnerships, expanding awareness, and connecting communities with tools and funding to support job growth.

“I am very honored to be given this opportunity with OhioSE,” Kohler said. “Having lived my entire life in Appalachian Ohio, I have seen firsthand the struggles and the strength of its residents. To be part of an operation that supports economic growth and helps people achieve their goals is a dream come true.”

Kohler previously served as Deputy District Director for Congressman Mike Rulli and worked for Congressman Bill Johnson, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Zanesville Museum of Art, and East Muskingum Schools. She earned a degree in applied strategic management from Ohio University.

OhioSE leaders said Kohler’s experience and regional ties make her a strong fit for the role. “Her leadership and deep understanding of our region will make her an ideal fit,” said Matt Abbott, OhioSE President and CEO. “Engagement is essential—and Amber will play a key role in ensuring communities are connected, informed, and equipped to pursue economic opportunities.”
