Education Foundation Elects

The Barnesville Area Education Foundation held elections during the organization’s annual meeting on September 8.
Officers for the coming year are Nancy Napolitano, president; Miles Jefferis, vice president; Ted Hanlon, secretary; Msgr. Mark Froehlich, assistant secretary and Rick Wilson, treasurer.
Officers are the same as the past year except for vice president where Jefferis replaced Tim McKelvey in the position.
New trustees for the years 2026-2028 are Lynn Spiczenski, Richard Marmie and Brian Yarnall.
They join Joel Braido, Lany Sylvis and Nancy Napolitano who serve one more year and Miles Jefferis, Tim McKelvey and Jeff Shepherd who have two years remaining on their terms.
Retiring trustees completing three-year terms are Brenda Brown, Judith Hutchison and John Jefferis.
Founded in 1979 by the late Lodge Hanlon, the Barnesville Education Foundation awarded grants totaling $159,130.45 during the 2024-2025 school year.
The mission of the Barnesville Area Education Foundation is to provide funds for local education systems and students that might not otherwise be available through public funds.
