Charles Ronald Reed

Charles Ronald Reed, 82, of Beallsville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home following a lengthy battle against dementia.  He was born December 17, 1942 in Lewisville, Ohio, to the late Tom and Marie Reed.

Chuck was a retired equipment operator for local 18 of the Operating engineers of Akron, Ohio. Chuck was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Eagles and the Moose Lodge and was a US Army veteran and member of the Military Honor Guard for both the VFW and American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Reed McGeray and a son Charles R. Reed Jr., and a sister Marylin Warner.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Pauline Reed whom he married on November 14, 1974, a brother David (Joe Pete) Reed, daughter Diana Reed, grandson Chase McGeray, and stepson Robert (Jovelyn) Piatt and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Friends received 2 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025.  Full military service will be held at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
