Belmont College Welding Class Returns

ST. CLAIRSVILLE–  Belmont College announces the return of its Welding Basics Program, a hands-on, 7-week course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of welding and metal fabrication.

The program will run from September 23 through November 6, with classes held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Participants will gain foundational knowledge in key welding processes, welding safety, testing, and metal fabrication techniques. Each student will also receive a starter tool kit, which includes a welding helmet, cap, bag, gloves, and jacket.

“Welding is one of humanity’s oldest industrial arts, but it’s evolving faster than ever,” said Jeremy Morris, Grant Writer, Workforce Development Education Coordinator. “From robotic arms on factory floors to AI-enhanced inspection tools, today’s welders are as likely to program a machine as pick up a torch. The welding program at Belmont College prepares students for the ground floor of exciting opportunities in this rapidly changing field.”

This course is tailored to prepare students for the D1.1 Certification Welding Test, offering a strong foundation for a successful career in the welding industry.
