Two Dentists Joined Ohio Hills Health Centers
BARNESVILLE – Dr. Preshtha Mangla and Dr. Carolyn Xin have joined the dental staff at Ohio Hills Health Centers (OHHC). Both are practicing at OHHC-Barnesville and OHHC-Freeport. In addition, OHHC will be opening a new dental center in St. Clairsville at the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center (The ECO Center) in early 2026. Dr. Mangla and Dr. Xin will be seeing patients at OHHC-St. Clairsville when it opens.
“Our service area is a dental underserved region, and there is a tremendous need for affordable dental care. We have not been able to keep up with the demand for dental appointments with our existing staff. OHHC has been recruiting a dentist for the past couple years without success,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHC. “This year we were extremely fortunate to have found two outstanding candidates who were interested in relocating to our region.”
Dr. Mangla is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has a Doctor of Dental Medicine, a Master of Science in Dental Materials and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Santosh Dental College and Hospitals in India. She is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Mangla was born and raised in New Delhi, India.
“The lack of dental facilities in my hometown motivated me to become a dentist. I started my dental journey in 2014 and have been studying and practicing since then,” said Dr. Mangla. “In my spare time I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, cuisines and cultures. I also like to paint.”
Dr. Xin is a graduate of the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Xin was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
“I became a dentist because I wanted to help patients feel at ease in the dental chair and to encourage them to improve their oral health and therefore overall quality of life,” said Dr. Xin. “My goal is to tailor treatment plans to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, with open discussions about treatment options and alternatives so they can make informed decisions. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy painting, gardening, and hiking, which keeps me creative, grounded, and connected to nature.”
“We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Mangla and Dr. Xin as part of our dental team,” said Robert Brewer, DDS, Dental Director, OHHC. “They are both enthusiastic about working in a small-town environment, and they are very personable. They are a great fit for our dental practice. Dr. Mangla and Dr. Xin will allow us to increase the number of dental patients we can accept on a daily and annual basis.”
OHHC offers a Patient Discount Program for qualified applicants and a Financial Counselor for assistance in applying for Medicaid, Medicare and the Marketplace.
