I-70 Nighttime Work Planned
The Ohio Department of Transportation has two I-70 nighttime projects planned in this area. The September 18 update provided by the state reveals:
I-70 westbound nighttime lane restriction at EXIT 208: Starting next Thursday ODOT’s contractor will begin nighttime work on I-70 westbound at Exit 208 (SR 149) to prepare for the upcoming interchange improvement project. Crews will fill rumble strips and install barrier walls to support traffic during construction. Work will take several weeks, occurring overnight only, with one lane open at all times.
I-70 nighttime concrete repair project: A project to repair a five-mile section of concrete along I-70 from the Belmont/Guernsey County line to just east of the I-70 rest areas. The contractor will complete this work during nighttime hours. Lane closures will be utilized during construction from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The completion date is October 31, 2025.
