September 17, 2025
4:26 pm — Rock River Rd, Somerset Township. A deputy went to the address for a call about a suspicious vehicle in the caller’s yard. It was a worker for the water line.
September 18, 2025
8:33 am — Jeru West Dr, Barnesville. A female reported threats and harassment to the Barnesville Police Department. A deputy responded and took information for a report.
8:34 am — South 26 Rd, Bethesda. The caller advised that a child was chasing another child with an axe. Deputies responded and found that a tree service was in the area.
3:15 pm — Clifton St, Barnesville. The caller reported that he was getting telephone calls from someone saying that he was talking to an underage girl online. The deputy called and explained that it was likely a scam. The caller reported this to the bank and requested that a report be on file.
September 19, 2025
10:43 pm — Brown St, Belmont. The caller stated that people were speeding up and down the street, throwing rocks everywhere. Two trucks left, and the direction of travel was unknown. A deputy spoke to the caller and learned that it was a verbal argument with no rocks thrown. The caller was advised to call back if there were any further issues.
September 20. 2025
5:50 am — Marker 210 Interstate 70 eastbound, Belmont. A deputy stopped a vehicle and issued a warning for speed and expired plates.
10:00 am — Marker 207 Interstate 70 westbound, Belmont. A deputy issued a traffic stop warning.
2:20 pm — Barnesville. The caller stated a female was having a mental crisis. Deputies responded. The caller was intoxicated, and the female was gone on arrival.
September 21, 2025
1:31 am — National Rd, Belmont. There was a 911 hangup call, and dispatch heard a female talking. When no one answered on the callback, deputies responded to the pinged location. The female informed the deputies that she and her husband had a verbal argument, and he had left. She added that there was no physical contact and no threats. The female was not being very cooperative. The deputies advised her to call if anything else happens.
8:13 am — Main St, Morristown. The caller stated that he had been held hostage for 3 days. He continued that a mechanic was doing work on this truck and had the tires off. The caller was sleeping in the truck. Even though he had not seen it, the caller said that the mechanic had a gun. There were no threats or physical violence. The truck was a civil matter, and the caller was free to walk away.
11:51 am — Barnesville-Bethesda Rd, Barnesville. Dispatch advised that there was a 911 hangup call, and they were unable to call the number back. A deputy responded and made contact with the homeowners. Everything was okay. The male was having issues with his cell phone.
September 22, 2025
10:04 am — National Rd, Morristown. A deputy served an eviction notice.
12:58 pm — Summit St, Bethesda. The caller stated that a male keeps texting her and has shown up at her house. She had two dates with him in July. The caller will be seeking a Civil Protection Order and wants the information on file.
1:03 pm — Barnesville. Information was passed on to the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office of a complaint that was referred to the Child Protection Service. The deputy spoke with the CPO supervisor, and an information report was filed.
7:44 pm — Hall-Boston Rd, Barnesville. The caller stated that a female was arguing and pointing a knife at a male. The caller stated that no firearms were on the property. The suspect and the victim left together on a dirt bike. A deputy tried to make contact with both parties but was unsuccessful. The deputy advised the caller on how to obtain a Civil Protection Order.
10:54 pm — Pilot, Belmont. Information was taken for a crash report. A semi-truck struck a vehicle.
11:30 pm — Main St, Morristown. The caller said that a man had stayed in his residence while helping fix the place up. The caller had kicked the man out for stealing. The man came back, broke a lock on the residence, and would not leave. The man had gone outside but was knocking on the windows. The man eventually left. The caller wanted a record of the incident and was advised to call back if there were any more issues.
September 23, 2025
9:33 am — National Rd, Bethesda. Two deputies responded to the address for a call about a male hitting doors and walls. He denied EMS at the time.
5:05 pm — Love’s, Morristown. A deputy responded to the address for a possible shoplifting. The person had paid for the item at a different register, and the store Management did not know it.
8:18 pm — A male was detained on a felony warrant. A deputy transported him to jail.
9:42 pm — Marker 208 Interstate 70 westbound, Morristown. A deputy transported a traffic supervisor to an accident.
September 24, 2025
3:55 am — Love’s, Belmont. An employee called Dispatch to report that a group of juveniles had been in the store for a few hours and said that they were lost. The caller gave Dispatch a description of the teens and the clothes they were wearing. The kids had just left the store and were headed toward Interstate 70. Two units responded and made contact with the kids. The kids stated that they were unable to make contact with their parents. The deputies got the teens’ information and, with the help of the local police department, made contact with the parents. All of the kids were picked up at Love’s.
6:22 am — Love’s, Belmont. There was a semi stuck in a ditch. A tow truck pulled the semi out. There was no damage to the truck or the property.
3:41 pm — Bannock-Uniontown Rd, Wheeling Township. A deputy observed a two-car vehicle accident. There were multiple deputies on the scene, and the Ohio State Patrol was enroute. The State Patrol handled the scene and the crash. The deputies assisted with traffic control. The animal shelter was called and on location.
5:19 pm — Chestnut Ridge, Warren Township. A deputy was enroute to the address to investigate the caller’s claim that vandalism to his house had occurred last night, and some flags were missing.
7:34 pm — A deputy was out assisting the Ohio State Patrol.
8:07 pm — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources unit found a missing male alive. The EMS and the sheriff’s office were called. A towing service was called. The person was taken to the ER.
8:48 pm — High St, Flushing. Deputies assisted the Flushing Police Department with a domestic dispute. The parties were separated. The charges were handled by the Flushing PD.
