Quaker City VFD Receives Major Grant

Quaker City Volunteer Fire Department members were notified this week they have received an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) for $353,987.00.
The department plans to replace all personal fire gear for members. and all SCBAs and fire hoses. “We stand behind our ‘Professionally Staffed by Volunteers’ motto,” a department social media post notes.
“Thank you all for your contributions, donations, and continuous support as we navigate these changes throughout the next year”.
