Belmont County Farm Bureau Partners to Help Local Food Pantries
Eight buyers purchased market hogs during the Belmont County Jr Fair in September that were donated to Belmont County Farm Bureau. Those buyers were T.J. Jefferis, Buckeye Steel Inc., Bridgeport Equipment, EQT Corporation, Tim’s Custom Installation, Ascent Resources, Williams Energy, and MPLX. Also, J-Mo Meats Barnesville, helped with the processing cost.
As a result, a total of 1746 pounds of pork were donated to nine area food banks and delivered by Devin Cain, Belmont County Farm Bureau program coordinator.

· Barnesville Thrift Store Food Pantry
· First Christian Church Five Loaves Food Pantry in Barnesville
· Bridgeport Christian Friendship Council of Churches Food Pantry
· St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain
· Bellaire Salvation Army
· Shadyside Fellowship UMC Pantry
· St Clairsville Council of Churches Food Pantry
· Flushing Ministerial Association Pantry
· Neffs United Methodist Church
