Dr. Baum Announces Retirement
Dr. Michael R. Baum announced this week his retirement from General Surgery and Family Practice effective October 31st. He will also close his private medical practice, Barnesville Surgery, Inc. at the same time.
Baum, who came to Barnesville in 1986, has been a surgeon at Barnesville Hospital for 40 years.
“WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital would like to share that Dr. Baum has announced his retirement. We sincerely want to thank Dr. Baum for his many years of dedicated service to our patients, our community, and to Barnesville Hospital. As we celebrate Dr. Baum’s contributions, we extend our best wishes to him as he embarks on a well-deserved retirement,” said Judy Bruno, President and CEO of WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital and Harrison Community Hospital.
“We are also actively working to secure a new General Surgeon to continue providing high quality surgical care for our community.”
