October 16, 2025
9:08 am — Uniontown-Flushing Rd, St. Clairsville. The caller reported the theft of a credit card. He reported that his ex-wife had a credit card in his name, and she had made charges to the account after they separated. The caller was advised that the matter was a civil matter and to contact an attorney.
9:49 pm — Washington St, Somerton. A caller reported that she was in a locked vehicle with her sister and a young child. A known male was driving a vehicle through the yard, yelling at them. This matter was deemed a civil matter and a verbal conflict only.
October 17, 2025
5:09 am — Mile Marker 206, Eastbound Interstate 70. A deputy stopped a semi truck that failed to yield for an emergency vehicle.
7:12 pm — Captina Highway, Somerton. A caller reported people poaching deer on his land. The caller was 35-40 minutes away. The deputy observed that the site appeared to be a camper and dump site. No contact was made, but photos and information were taken for a report.
8:41 pm — Union Local Schools, Belmont. The caller stated that a girl was harassing her and that she had meant to call her mother. The caller said that she was fine. A deputy investigated the area where the phone pinged. No contact was made with anyone.
October 18, 2025
5:36 am — Mt Olivett Rd, Barnesville. Deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a crash. The father transported the son to the hospital.
9:02 pm — Barkcamp Rd, Belmont. A deputy issued a written warning for a traffic offense.
9:09 pm — Barkcamp Rd/SR 149, Belmont. A deputy was flagged down by a motorist who stated that he had struck a deer on State Route 149. The deputy observed little to no damage on the passenger side, except that the side mirror was busted.
9:13 pm — Days Inn, Morristown. The caller reported that a man attempted to rent a room but was unable to because he did not have the proper identification. The man took a luggage cart from the lobby and was in the parking lot with it. The caller feared the man was going to take the cart. When the deputy responded, the man was gone, and so was the cart.
9:14 pm — SR 149/Palmer Rd, Belmont. A deputy issued a written warning for driving without taillights.
9:30 pm — SR 149/Palmer Rd, Belmont. A deputy issued a written warning for driving without headlights on.
October 19, 2025
12:39 am — Days Inn, Morristown. The caller reported that the man who stole their luggage cart was back on their property, harassing people who were staying at the hotel. The deputies found the man across the street from the hotel in a ditch.
1:43 am — Rosemary Camp Rd, Flushing. The caller advised that she was having problems with her mother’s boyfriend. Deputies investigated the complaint. The mother and child left with the grandmother to meet family members and to make new living arrangements.
10:23 am — Belmont-Morristown Rd, Belmont. An alarm dropped at a local business. A deputy responded and found the site secure.
11:48 am — Love’s, Belmont. A gun was found at the gas station. A deputy retrieved the weapon. The report contains more information.
11:59 am — John St, Belmont. A caller reported her father had threatened to self-harm during an argument with his own father. Her father had left the residence with an unknown destination. A “be on the lookout” was issued countywide for the man and his vehicle. The ping for his cell phone was in Barnesville some time before. The alert remained in place until the man was found on Buttermilk Road and voluntarily went to the hospital.
3:23 pm — Flushing Northeast Rd, Flushing. A man reported a theft at his residence. When the deputy responded, the caller stated that unknown persons had entered his home through an unlocked door and taken silver coins. The deputy advised that mental issues may be involved in this matter.
October 20, 2025
7:38 am — Union Local Schools, Morristown. The School Resource Officer requested additional patrol due to concern about a homeless man in the area. The SRO was informed that the male was in jail and not a threat to himself or others.
10:10 am — Willow St, Bethesda. A deputy contacted the caller by phone, who inquired about information on Civil Protection Orders. The caller was advised.
8:39 pm — Pilot, Morristown. A female was fleeing an abusive, soon to be ex-husband and needed a ride to the YWCA in Wheeling. A deputy drove her there.
October 21, 2025
9:45 am — Rice Ave, Bethesda. The caller wanted to speak to a supervisor regarding a report she filed last Sunday. She was advised to contact the deputy handling the case and the prosecutor’s office with her questions.
3:13 pm — Rock River Rd, Jerusalem. The caller reported that his identity had been stolen and someone had purchased a cell phone in his name. The deputy advised that the caller needed to contact the bank and Verizon to report the fraud.
October 22, 2025
12:38 am — Pilot, Morristown. A truck driver checked his load at the location and noticed the seals were broken. Upon investigation, the driver believed that there was missing cargo. The caller was unsure where the theft occurred.
2:07 am — Frontier Dr, Belmont. The caller stated that someone was knocking on a back window continuously. The caller could not see anyone because it was dark. A deputy investigated the complaint and saw no evidence that anyone was near the house. The deputy patrolled the area.
9:47 am — N Broadway St, Barnesville. A deputy made a traffic stop.
1:54 pm — Morristown-Flushing Rd, Flushing. A deputy notified a resident that a family member was in the hospital.
