Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs covering various dates from October 24 through October 29 are reported below.

October 24, 2025

9:51 am — Green St, Belmont. The deputies made contact with a vehicle owner and advised them to get the car, or it would be towed. The person living on the property was told not to come back.

12:13 pm — Captina Highway, Somerton. A deputy was checking the area for littering or illegal dumping.

1:47 pm — Mt Hope Rd, Lafferty. A deputy went to the location to investigate a suspicious black vehicle that had been parked for days. The vehicle belonged to five guys painting.

9:35 pm — Wood St, Flushing. A deputy went to the above address to make contact for the St. Clairsville Police Department. The deputy made contact for the follow-up.

October 25, 2025

2:19 am — Barkcamp Rd, Belmont. A deputy patrolled the area.

2:40 am — Belmont-Warnock Rd, Belmont. A deputy reported that a deer had run in front of his patrol car, causing the patrol car to strike the deer and resulting in damage to the front passenger corner. The Ohio State Highway Patrol came to write a crash report. Another deputy arrived and took photos. The deputy was able to drive his patrol car back to the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, where it was parked.

10:24 am — McMillan Rd, Bethesda. A residential alarm dropped. The homeowner was on vacation and did not provide the proper passcode. The homeowner’s son would check on the house. A deputy checked the house, and all was secure.

2:17 pm — Maple Ave, Bethesda. The caller reported that someone was in his home and stole a pair of designer shoes. The caller thought that his soon to be ex-wife had someone over who took the shoes. Deputies met with the caller and took the information. One of the deputies spoke with the wife, who denied that anyone else had been in the house, and she provided ADT records, which showed the house had not been entered the night in question.

5:38 pm — N Bridge St, Belmont. A caller reported that a domestic situation was occurring at the address. Deputies responded, and both parties denied any physical contact, stating that it was all verbal. The parties were separated, and the male got a ride back to his home.

8:02 pm — 2nd St, Belmont. The caller reported threats made via phone to her family. The caller wanted a report on file and would block the other party. A deputy spoke with the caller.

8:07 pm — O K Rd, Belmont. The FFA reported a green laser coming from this area, and it was pointed at an aircraft at 16,000 ft. Deputies investigated the area but did not find anything.

October 26, 2025

12:18 am — Shannon Rd, Barnesville. The caller advised that two people with flashlights were at the well pad looking at equipment. The caller believed that no one should be there. The deputies responded that the individuals were workers at the well pad, starting up equipment for their job.

October 27, 2025

2:39 pm — Judson St, Bethesda. Deputies investigated a complaint at the address. The caller was not home, but was seeing people on his camera that appeared to be damaging his vehicle.

4:38 pm — Bethesda. A deputy responded to a call about an unruly juvenile. Parents advised that they would seek evaluation.

6:12 pm — 2nd St, Flushing. The caller called to report that neighbor children were seen playing with paintball guns. The caller saw the kids cleaning paint off their garage door. Since there has been a history of the neighbor children playing outside and causing issues, the caller wanted it on file.

7:49 pm — N Bridge St, Belmont. A deputy investigated a complaint about an ex-boyfriend threatening to break in and take whatever he wants. The caller was advised to get a Civil Protective Order or file a threat complaint. The male has established residence at the address.

October 28, 2025

3:36 pm — Jacobsburg-Key Rd, Jacobsburg. Dispatch advised that a round bailer had been stolen. A deputy responded and took information for a report. The caller will call the office to state whether the bailer has been returned or not. No charges are wanted if it is returned.

4:49 pm — North Rd, Barnesville. A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call. All was okay.

October 29, 2025

12:29 pm — Lynn Avenue, Belmont. A deputy was requested to meet with the Belmont County Engineers’ Office and several other county officials to evaluate a potential access project.

11:39 pm — Pilot, Belmont. The caller reported that a semi driver was parked in reserved parking and refused to move. A deputy investigated the complaint, and the driver would be on his way.
