Western Belmont County excerpts from November 14 through November 20 were created from the information provided by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office call logs.

November 14, 2025

12:12 am — Pilot, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. A deputy investigated a complaint between two truckers. The first trucker accused the other of having struck his vehicle. The first trucker stated that he confronted the other trucker, and the other trucker became upset, got in his face, and threatened him. In fact, the other trucker’s phone came into contact near his right eye. The first trucker admitted that there was no damage done to his vehicle. Both parties were advised to separate for the evening. No criminal charges were filed, and no statement was completed.

10:45 am — National Rd, Belmont. A caller reported a suspicious male lying in the grass with a duffel bag. A deputy responded to the location and found that the man was just taking a break from walking.

5:38 pm — Virginia St, Bethesda. A female was having hallucinations. She went willingly with the emergency squad, and the caregiver will follow.

9:03 pm — Kaczmarek Rd, Flushing. The caller advised that her neighbor was drunk and was setting off fireworks. The deputy found no lights on at the neighbor’s and no one around outside.

November 15, 2025

1:41 am — McDonald’s, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. A deputy was flagged down by a semi driver. His semi was jackknifed in the parking lot. The deputy assisted the truck driver, making sure he did not hit anything. The truck was out, and no property damage occurred.

2:27 pm — Lafferty Rd, Lafferty. An employee set off the alarm when picking up a check. The supervisor was notified, and the alarm was deactivated.

5:29 pm — Union Township. Deputies responded to the address for possible child abuse. No abuse occurred. The parents were disciplining their child.

11:37 pm — Sandy Ridge, Barnesville. The caller stated that they lost their phone and it was pinging at this location. The deputy investigated. The male had found the phone. The phone was returned to its owner.

November 16, 2025

11:14 am — National-New Lafferty Rd, Lafferty. A female stated that Siri called 911. She kept apologizing, and it sounded like she was crying. The call was accidental.

3:03 pm — 2nd St, Lafferty. The caller stated that his son was trying to slash the tires on a vehicle outside. The child was gone prior to the deputy’s arrival. The caller did not want to file a report. He was going to investigate youth programs for help with his son.

3:29 pm — Warren Ave, Barnesville. The Barnesville Police Department requested assistance with a male blocking a female in his driveway. The man moved his truck, and the woman left.

6:07 pm — National Rd, Morristown. There was a 911 hang-up call. Responding deputies made contact and found that the call was a false alarm.

6:36 pm — Northwest St, Flushing. The caller reported a stolen vehicle and gave its description. The deputies stopped the vehicle. All involved parties were contacted. The vehicle was not stolen.

November 17, 2025

1:02 am — McDonald’s, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. The caller reported a suspicious person walking around buildings. The male appeared to be intoxicated and was asking for food. The deputy investigated the area but found no one.

2:50 am — Pilot, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. A caller reported an unresponsive male in the restroom. Units responded. The male was found responsive. He went with the squad.

6:48 am — Wood St, Flushing. The caller stated that both of her vehicles were entered and their contents searched. The caller did not report anything stolen at this time.

9:04 am — Northwest St, Flushing. The caller reported that his two vehicles had been broken into overnight. He noted that only loose change had been stolen from the cars. Neither vehicle was damaged. The caller only wanted to report the incident.

9:43 am — National Rd, Belmont. A juvenile ran from the address. The juvenile was caught and transported to Sargus. The deputy’s body cam was damaged.

12:53 pm — Maple Ave, Bethesda. The caller notified the dispatcher that a male with warrants was at the address. Deputies responded, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol was also notified. The male left before the deputies’ arrival.

1:16 pm — Mile Marker 204, Westbound Interstate 70. Deputies made a traffic stop and issued a written warning for speed.

3:43 pm — Union Local High School, Belmont. The caller reported that her sister was being threatened. A deputy obtained a written statement from the juvenile and the legal guardian.

4:38 pm — Noon Rd, Bethesda. A deputy went to the address for a wellness check on a juvenile. Everything was fine. There was a miscommunication about the child’s transportation.

5:01 pm — Lude Rd, Belmont. The caller reported a stolen truck. The stolen vehicle was recovered and towed to Bill’s. Information was taken for the report.

November 18, 2025

11:27 am — E Main St, Holloway. A deputy investigated a previous break-in. Took information for the report.

2:05 pm — W Church St, Barnesville. A deputy dealt with a semi blocking the roadway. The semi was on its way at 2:08 pm.

6:23 pm — National Rd, Morristown. A juvenile with a warrant out of Clemont County. A deputy took the juvenile to Sargus.

7:41 pm — W Main St, Holloway. Investigating a property complaint, the deputy was told that the owner agreed to move the car.

8:14 pm — National Rd, Morristown. Two females fought. One possibly went out the back door. One female was detained, Mirandaized, and transported to Sargus.

November 19, 2025

9:33 am — Johnson North Rd, Bethesda. The caller reported that a person in a mental crisis needed help. The person went voluntarily with the emergency squad.

6:47 pm — Dysart Woods, Union Township. The caller stated that a naked couple came onto his property. The caller was not at the property and was unsure if the couple was currently there. The caller was advised to call back when the naked couple was on his property.

11:13 pm — Pilot, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. The caller advised that a semi has been at a pump since 8 pm. Employees have knocked on the door with no answer. The deputy discovered that the male was asleep. He was on his way.
