Members, young and old, created shoebox size gifts for needy youngsters earlier this month. [Salesville UMC images]
Members of the Salesville United Methodist Church created 218 shoe box gifts for “Operation Christmas Child” recently.
The boxes were delivered to the Shekinah Christian Fellowship in Barnesville where they were packed into larger boxes. From there the gifts are taken to Wheeling, then shipped to the coast for an oversees trip to Africa.
The congregation expressed thanks to everyone who helped shop, donated money, made crafts, packed boxes for the trip oversees.
