Fire Station Taking Shape
Thursday was a momentous day for the village of Belmont. Work crews completed metal roof framing on the equipment portion of the new $3.4 million fire station at 101 N. John Street. The construction site is just north of the Belmont American Legion Post/Tri-State Military Veterans Museum and Belmont Church of Christ.
Ground breaking for the long-planned project took place July 15. Read the Barnesville Area News report on the event here.
The construction project is funded by a 75% grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and 25% from the State of Ohio. The project is expected to be completed in July 2026.

Updates and aerial photos of the project’s progress are regularly shared on the Belmont VFD Facebook page.
