JB Green Team Tests Self-Serve Electronics Collection
The JB Green Team, responsible for recycling in Belmont and Jefferson counties, has a Pilot Program set to run for six months (November 2025 – April 2026) allowing the residents of the two counties to properly dispose of their E-Waste.
In the past, electronics collection would occur one day a year for each county.
Items accepted during the six-month trial run collection:
- TV’s (LCD / LED / flat screens / CRTs)
- Computer / hard drives (at own risk- remove all personal information)
- Servers
- Flat Screen Monitors
- Laptops (at own risk!)
- Switches / routers / hub
- VCR / Av Equipment
- Cell Phones / chargers (at own risk!)
- LCD Screens
- Keyboards / Mice / Docking Stations
- Video Game Consoles
- Fax / Copier / Printer / Laser jet
- Radios
Items not accepted include:
- No Loose Batteries (of any kind)
- No electronics with personal data!
- No loose wires / cords
- No Refrigerators or ovens
- No Microwaves
- No Sweepers or shop vacs
- No Electronics with sensitive information
- No Washers or Dryers
- No Blenders / toasters / specialty cookers /coffee pots / Keurigs
- No humidifiers
- No Lamps or bulbs
- No Smoke detectors / alarms
- No Exit signs
- No Air conditioners, ACUs, etc.
- No Projection screens
- No dismantled or disassembled items or parts
- No copy machines
- NO E-WASTE TOO LARGE FOR THE (46″x38″)WIRE CAGES!
The nearest collection point for western Belmont County is a site in Richland Twp / 331 Site at 68401 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville near Belmont College and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.
