Accident Claims Beallsville Man’s Life
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — A Beallsville man has died after his vehicle veered off the side of the road into a creek south of Beallsville over the weekend.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, St. Clairsville Post is investigating the fatal motor vehicle crash that was reported at approximately 1:33 p.m. Saturday on Township Rd 152 (Center Ridge Rd) near County Rd 29 (Sunfish Creek Rd) in Adams Township, Monroe County.
Christopher P. Pletcher, 47, driving a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, traveled northbound on Township Rd 152 before the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment and then overturned into a creek.
The OSHP, Clarington Emergency and Fire Services, Woodsfield Fire Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and A-1 Braden’s Towing all responded to the scene. The Monroe County Coroner pronounced Pletcher deceased at the scene.
Services for Pletcher who was a self-employed construction worker will take place at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield Thursday.
The crash remains under active investigation.
