Leg Lamp Returns
For years, the second story at the southwest corner of Main and Chestnut has sported the famous Leg Lamp featured in the 1983 iconic classic movie, “The Christmas Story” for years.
Corner Pharmacy owner Charles “Chip” Terrett placed the lamp in the prominent corner window. Last year its appearance was nearer Christmas than normal, drawing numerous questions on social media platforms. Once in place, Terrett snapped and posted this photo providing a street view from inside the apartment.
Sadly, the local pharmacist died at the age of 66 on November 29 leaving the question of would the light appear in 2025?
Happily, we can report that a trip through town Thursday evening revealed the familiar decoration in place, certainly a tribute to Terret by his family.
