In the Dec. 9, 2015, edition of Twice-Told Tales, we discover the Batesville United Methodist Church would mark the current church building’s centennial at special services on December 16, 1990. Construction of the church, dedicated on December 14, 1890, was financed through First National Bank of Barnesville.
This month marks the 135th anniversary of the church dedication.
The current congregation is an active one, hosting special services, including one at Christmas, and participating in the Barnesville Christmas Parade!
On Christmas Eve members of the church will gather at 6:30 p.m. for a special service. All are welcome.
