Junior High Wrestlers Capture Fort Frye Invitational

Barnesville’s Junior High ‘Rocks wrestlers won the crown at the Fort Frye Invitational at Beverly on Monday, Dec. 22. The Shamrock’s 252 points were 80 higher than the second place finisher, the host Fort Frye Cadets.

Individual placers for Barnesville are Casin Mayo, Jacob Ralston, Colten Aberegg, Carter Abbott, Gabe Kovalick, Jaxson Milhoan and Thomas Norman.

The National Guard Invitational took place at Wheeling Park High School.

Liv McCrate broke her own record, again, for the second time in two weeks. This week her clocked time was 1:10.19. Last week she also broke her old record of 1:11:33 with a 1:11:29 time.

A total of 11 boys and girls teams participated in the meet.

 John Marshall won the girls’ contest with172 points. Barnesville came in No. 6 with 53 points.

Wheeling Park claimed the boys’ division with a score of 169. Barnesville came in 6th here, too, at 45 points.
