January 21, 2026
8:15 am — Belmont Career Center, Hammond Rd, St Clairsville. A teacher reported concerns about a student being intoxicated. The school resource officer and the school administrator spoke with the student. The matter was referred to CCAP since the student was on probation.
9:55 am — Union Local High School, Belmont. A deputy assisted with a report involving a sexual assault reportedly occurring in Cadiz. The mother and the female were headed to the Cadiz Police Department.
10:54 am — Morristown. A deputy conducted a welfare check on a student. The father stated the child had been sick and was planning on calling the school.
2:36 pm — Belmont-Morristown Rd, Belmont. There was a report of a suspicious male who came to the caller’s house and knocked on the door. He refused to talk and was acting weird, according to the caller. It was possible that a truck stopped and picked the male up. A deputy stopped a truck in Belmont but the person may not have the male in question. The deputy gave the driver a warning for improper display and an expired driver’s license. The caller was contacted and told that there was a disabled vehicle down below the yard by the road.
6:01 pm — Bel Morr, Belmont. Deputies went to the gas station to deal with a disabled semi truck that was blocking the road. They got the truck moved out of the roadway.
January 22, 2026
6:24 pm — Barnesville area. A caller from the Suicide Hotline requested a welfare check on a juvenile who had contacted the line. Officials had obtained the IP address and the zip code of 43713. Officials investigated but were unable to identify the caller.
7:47 pm — Mt Olivett Rd, Barnesville. A caller reported that his wife had not returned from work. Human resources informed him that she had been fired the previous day and had returned the equipment that day. Information was taken and shared with the St Clairsville Police. A be-on-the-lookout was issued for all local agencies. At 11:06 pm, the caller reported that his wife had safely returned home, and the BOLO was canceled.
10:06 pm — Pilot, Belmont-Morristown Rd, Belmont. A deputy responded to a motor vehicle crash with property damage.
January 23, 2026
10:13 am — National Road, Morristown. A deputy served an eviction notice, which goes into effect on Monday.
12:02 pm — National Road, Belmont. A call was received about a missing male. Deputies made no contact with the caller at the house. The caller made contact with the male at Chaps. The caller would like a Cares referral for the male.
5:41 pm — National Road, Belmont. A juvenile was tearing up the facility. The deputy had the juvenile detained. The issue was handled in-house.
9:47 pm — Horseshoe Bend Rd, Belmont. A caller reported that a truck with two individuals inside was stopped in his driveway when he arrived home. The truck’s driver yelled a name before driving off. The deputy determined that it was juveniles causing havoc. Their parents were notified.
11:56 pm — Bethesda-Belmont Rd, Bethesda. A residence alarm dropped. A deputy made contact, and everything was okay.
January 24, 2026
1:56 am — McGary Rd, Alledonia. A 911 call was received with static on the line. The phone was busy on the callback. There has been an extensive history of this occurring.
6:30 pm — Hendrysburg-Freeport Rd, Barnesville. A call came into dispatch with a lot of screaming in the background. A deputy responded and determined that an ex showed up, causing problems, then left. No domestic threats or assaults were reported.
January 25, 2026
7:43 pm — Willow St, Bethesda. A caller advised that there was an altercation at this location. Deputies responded but made no contact. The caller stated that they did not see anything, only heard someone yell, and a car drove away.
January 26, 2026
8:48 am — Reco Rd, Belmont. A semi truck was in the ditch blocking the driveway. A deputy responded and found that the driver had a tow on the way.
7:05 pm — Reco Rd, Belmont. A semi truck was blocking the roadway. A deputy responded and called the tow company, which arrived 25 minutes later.
8:59 pm — Belmont. The caller and her boyfriend have been taking care of a neighbor’s dog. For two months, they have fed the dog and put straw in its box. The dog’s owner does not live at the residence and may have put a camera up because the owner has questioned the boyfriend about taking care of the dog. An animal rescue agent was contacted, and they advised that there was nothing they could do.
January 27, 2026
1:21 am — Barkcamp Park, Belmont. An individual was having mental health issues. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was on scene. The individual went to the hospital in a squad.
12:55 pm — Douglass Rd, Barnesville. A deputy did a welfare check and found that all was well with the individual.
12:56 pm — Gun Club Rd, Wheeling Township. An individual came to the sheriff’s office to file a report about a student loan scam.
1:19 pm — 2nd St, Lafferty. A deputy went to the location after a 911 hang-up call. All was okay. There was a verbal argument among family members about visiting friends.
1:53 pm — 2nd St, Lafferty. A deputy talked to an individual about hearing yelling and the neighbor’s dogs coming into their yard.
6:20 pm — Green St, Belmont. A deputy responded to a stuck vehicle. The vehicle had pulled out before the deputy’s arrival.
January 28, 2026
2:18 am — McGary Rd, Alledonia. There was a 911 hang-up call with static on the line. The line was busy on the callback. This has been an ongoing issue.
10:33 am — Main St, Wheeling Township. Deputies went to the location for a fire call.
12:21 pm — Oak St, Bethesda. A deputy made a welfare check on an individual, and contact was made. They were told to call their loved one.
12:48 pm — Mile Marker 208, westbound Interstate 70. Deputies were dispatched to the location for a report of an extremely slow-moving truck. The Ohio State Highway Patrol had the truck pulled over before their arrival.
2:51 pm — Garrett Rd, Bethesda. A deputy responded to an alarm drop on a front door. Everything was okay. There were problems resetting the alarm.
4:00 pm — Arch St, Barnesville. A deputy assisted the Barnesville Police Department.
4:31 pm — Crozier Ridge Rd, Jacobsburg. A deputy assisted a male whose truck broke down in a neighbor’s driveway. The vehicle was out of the driveway, and the male had been dropped off.
5:02 pm — Centerville Jacobsburg Rd, Jacobsburg. An individual came to the sheriff’s office to speak with a deputy about a kid riding up and down his street on a 4-wheeler. They believed that it was possibly an attempt to harass them. The deputy advised the individual to call the next time they see the 4-wheeler. The deputy also shared information on how to get a protection order for the alleged harassment.
8:38 pm — National Rd, Morristown. There were eight juveniles causing chaos. One female was biting, hitting, and kicking staff. The deputy took her to Sargus.
9:14 pm — Arch St, Barnesville. Deputies went to the Barnesville Police Department for a report about an assault. Information was taken for the report.
