‘Rocks Wrestlers Capture Buckeye 8 Crown
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Barnesville Shamrock Wrestlers continued their winning ways this past week winning the school’s first Buckeye 8 Wrestling Tournament Crown Tuesday. Tournament competition took place at the ECO Center near Ohio University Eastern.
Barnesville came in on top with 270 points. Beaver Local was a distant runner up at 220 points.
Along with Barnesville, a dozen teams completed including Beaver Local, Bellaire, Brooke, Buckeye Local, Cambridge, East Liverpool, Harrison Central, Indian Creek, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville and Union Local.

The tournament was sponsored by Epic Restoration LLC, a fire and water restoration firm in Martins Ferry.
Zack Powell, elementary school principal at Barnesville, served as the Buckeye 8 Tournament director.
This weekend, the Shamrocks are competing in Ohio State Duals Championship competition in Marion.
