‘Rocks Place Third in State Duals
The Barnesville Shamrock Wrestling Team traveled to Marion Saturday where they came in third place in the Ohio State High School Wresting Coaches Association (OHSWCA) Duals in Ohio Division III.
In the quarterfinals, Barnesville slipped by Delta 34-33. In the semifinals the Shamrocks fell to Waynedale 55-12.
In the finals, the Shamrocks came out on top over Lake Catholic 39-36 claiming third place.
Waynedale won the contest 38-18 over Archbald.
Eight teams competed for the crown: Delta, Archbald, Versailles, Lake Catholic (Mentor), Miami East (Casstown), Waynedale (Applecreek),Tuslaw (Massillon) and Barnesivlle.
