The late Bill Hunkler, who thrust his arm into the air, was just one of the many happy persons on hand Sunday, February 18, 2018, when the new Barnesville Thrift Store on S. Gardner Street opened. Handling ribbon cutting duties that day was longtime store volunteer Virginia Waggle.
The new store was the fruition of a dream of Hunkler and others and has served the community for the past eight years.
