Monday, February 16, 2026

4:23 am – officer on SR 800 North for a traffic stop.

10:05 am – caller reports she is having a custody dispute with her mother over her visitation rights with her child. The child lives with the grandmother. Caller was advised to contact her attorney.

11:40 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

3:16 pm – caller reports she lost her wallet. I advised her that we didn’t have it and would notify her if someone turned it in.

3:37 pm – caller from South Broadway Street reports the neighbor’s dog is in his yard. The dog is defecating in the yard, an on-going issue.

5:02 pm – officer on Mulberry Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for expired registration.

5:39 pm – officer on Mill Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for expired registration.

6:28 pm -officer on West Main Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued.

6:41 pm – caller from Warren Avenue requests an officer come to her property. A female got out of her car and trespassed onto her property. Caller wants to press charges.  

9:00 pm – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop.

9:25 pm – officer at bowling alley parking lot for a traffic stop.

10:06 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

10:56 pm – officer on South Broadway Street attempting to serve warrant.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026

12:12 am – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop.

2:50 am – officer on Bond Avenue near Certified for a traffic stop.

6:43 am – officer on East Main Street near the library for a traffic stop.

8:02 am – officer near the elementary school for a traffic stop.

11:37 am – officer on Bond Avenue with a disabled vehicle. Vehicle is off the road.

12:38 pm – caller admits they missed Mayor’s Court on 2-12-2026 and wants to know if there was a warrant out for them. They were told to call back tomorrow and we’ll have an answer.  

3:41 pm – Assistant Fire Chief called to let us know that there will be a controlled burn in Tacoma tonight.

3:55 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Citation issued.

4:25 pm – FBI Office in Columbus called police asking if a particular individual was actually picked up by local officers.

5:40 pm – 911 hang up call from North Street. When called back, the line was busy. Officer checked the land line phone and cell phone and there were no outgoing calls to 911.

6:11 pm – caller reporting someone is walking on the ice at the Memorial Park Rotary Lake. Officer reports the man is no longer on the ice. Officer warned the man about the dangers of walking on the ice.

6:40 pm – caller from Pike Street reports there is a sick or injured coyote in the yard.

8:59 pm – officer on East Church Street investigating a complaint.

11:04 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue for a follow up investigation.

11:14 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

Wednesday, February 18, 2026

3:57 am – officer on Main Street for a traffic stop.

7:52 am – 911 called reporting a caller from North Arch Street reported there is a fox in a trap that was set in the yard. He was told to call us and the animal would be collected by the county.

10:02 am – officer on East Main Street near Walgreens for a traffic stop.

12:49 pm – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop.

1:50 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street talking to a person about dog’s feces on the sidewalk. Man said he will clean it up.

2:19 pm – caller from North Arch Street reports mounds of trash in a yard. Officer found only two bags of garbage.

4:15 pm – caller from West Main Street reports a truck parked for month without being moved.

4:51 pm – person on station to speak with an officer about someone placing a tow sticker on his truck. He wants to talk about parking during the snow removal. He also reports the lugs nuts were loosened on the truck.

7:49 pm – person on station requesting we give her son a call to pick her up at the BellStores as she is in process of moving.

10:36 pm – caller from Leatherwood Road reports her son is screaming at her mother and refusing to listen to her. He is being unruly. Juvenile advised he must listen to his mother. If he refuses, he will be charged with being unruly.

Thursday, February 19, 2026

12:01 am – officer on West Main Street near Kemp Insurance for a traffic stop. Warning issued for headlight out.

8:17 am – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop.

10:23 am – officer on Pine Lane assisting the EMS squad.

12:34 pm – employee reports there is an accident in the business’s parking lot. One car backed into another. Both parties asked to come to the station and file a private property report.

2:14 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue stating a person is causing a scene in the apartment’s parking lot. The caller wants the person removed from the area. The officer told her that she is trespassing and would be arrested if she goes back to the property. EMS is transporting her for a mental evaluation.

3:47 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a disabled vehicle.

4:07 pm – 911 hangup call from Carrie Avenue. It sounded like a child playing with the phone and could hear TV on in the background.

4:28 pm – caller from Watt Avenue reporting a couple of young boys riding bikes and attempting to gain entry into parked trucks.

4:30 pm – caller reports he was the kid on the ice earlier. Dispatcher advised the child to stay off the ice.

5:01 pm – caller reports a car is blocking an alley near North Broadway and North Chestnut streets. Officer notified.

5:48 pm – officer on Henderson Street near the Dairy Queen for a traffic stop.

7:04 pm – officer assisting the Bethesda Police with a a foot pursuit in Bethesda.

8:51 pm – officer on Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop. Warning issued for lights.

9:32 pm – officer on East Main Street engaged in a conversation with a driver about his driving habits.

9:42 pm – requested Fairfield Police Department conduct a “knock and talk” with a suspect from a hit and skip today. Fairfield Police reported the person no longer lives at that residence. We were provided a phone number, but the phone number is a nonworking number.

9:47 pm – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop.

10:35 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

12:27 am – officer on East Main Street and North Arch Street for a traffic stop.

1:28 am – officer on East Main Street near the BellStores for a traffic stop.

5:26 am – officer on Bond Avenue near Certified for a traffic stop.

7:36 am – officer on West Main Street near the Elementary School for a traffic stop.

11:15 am – loose Husky dog running around the park. Owner of the dog is aware.

11:16 am – caller from East South Street reporting that it looks as if someone has dumped screws on the road. Screws were removed from the road.

11:42 am – caller reports she has been contacted by the Fairfield Police Department regarding a hit and skip that she was involved in Barnesville. She was advised to come to the station to fill out a report.

2:41 pm – caller from the East Main Street Group Home reports someone to go to the home.

6:19 pm – officer on West Main Street for a traffic stop.

8:10 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

8:50 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street near Subway for a traffic stop.

9:37 pm – bulgar alarm drop on Barnesville Hospital Drive. Cleaning crew accidentally set off the alarm.

10:06 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

10:42 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street near East Walnut Street for a traffic stop.

10:47 pm – officer on East Main Street near the library for a traffic stop.

10:57 pm – officer on State Route 147 West for a traffic stop.

11:07 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street near Convenient for a traffic stop.

Saturday, February 21, 2026

12:06 am- officer on State Route 147 East for a traffic stop.

11:06 am – male caller from Mulberry Street reports he is locked out of his house and needs assistance getting in.

12:35 pm – caller reports a female left the treatment facility on foot and want the police to be aware of the situation.

12:56 pm – caller reports the alarm had gone off and that it now turned off.

2:55 pm – caller asked if it was legal for her to transport medication to a patient at her home per her supervisor’s orders. It is legal as she is a delegate at the facility.

3:05 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

4:32 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a car blocking an alley. Officer explained to the owner that the registration is not valid, and it can’t be parked on the street. The owner will move the car.

6:04 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

7:31 pm – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop.

7:52 pm – officer on North Arch Street for a traffic stop.

8:19 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

8:32 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

11:28 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reports seeing a distress signal coming from a house. Person believes that the light flashing is a distress signal. Officer discovered it was a malfunctioning streetlight.

Sunday, February 22, 2026

12:02 am – caller reports an underage party underway in the village.  Many juveniles attending the party are intoxicated. A few adults that supplied the alcohol to the juveniles are present. Caller states there is a female passed out in the bathtub and other juveniles passed out. Officer enroute to the residence. Caller called back wanting to talk with an officer.

5:46 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

9:30 am – male passed out at Shamrock Drive. Officer and EMS squad enroute.

12:17 pm – officer on Ohio Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for expired plates.
