12:45 am – officer on North Chestnut Street near Walnut for a traffic stop.
3:04 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
8:49 am – officer on East Main Street near Rumer Loudin for a traffic stop.
9:10 am – officer on North Chestnut Street following up on an investigation.
9:58 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
11:07 am – officer on East Main Street near Dairy Queen for a traffic stop.
11:45 am – officer on South Lincoln Avenue regarding a dog at large. Officer advised the owner of the complaint.
1:55 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
3:10 pm – officer on East Church Street near the fire station for a traffic stop.
5:45 pm – caller reporting a scam going around about WesBanco cards.
6:34 pm – caller on Woodlawn Avenue on the village’s north side reports loud music coming from a neighbor’s home. The loud music begins around 11 to 12 every night. An officer will investigate during those hours.
7:44 pm – male caller reports he shares custody of his daughter. The daughter was assaulted by her grandmother. Male came to station to complete a report; however, the incident took place outside of the village. Officer advised the Belmont County Sheriff’s office is the proper location to file the complaint.
9:52 pm – officer on East Main Street near Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
11:03 pm – officer on Bond Avenue near Certified for a traffic stop. Warning issued for backing out onto the roadway.
11:57 pm – caller reports a two-bedroom apartment is empty for a construction project. The back door is open, and people can be heard inside. Officer checked the apartment. It is clear. Door shut by officers. Owner notified that the door was open and unit unlocked.

9:34 am – officer on East Main Street near Hissom’s for a traffic stop.
9:56 am – caller from Morgantown Extension reports the roadway is blocked for a house under construction No one can get through. Caller requests the police issue a warning.
12:12 pm – caller from Leatherwood Road reporting of a vehicle accident with no injuries.
3:17 pm – officer on Ohio Street for a vehicle lockout.
4:15 pm – officer on South Lincoln Avenue for a traffic stop.
5:25 pm – officer on East Main Street with a male experiencing a possible panic attack. EMS enroute.
8:21 pm – caller from Barnesville-Bethesda Road reporting a possible water line break.
10:06 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
10:35 pm – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop. Citation issued for traffic control devices.

2:03 am – officer on West Main Street investigating a complaint. Walk through.
5:25 am – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop.
7:34 am – officer on North Arch Street for a disabled vehicle. Towing company enroute.
8:48 am – officer on Roosevelt Road for a property accident damage.
12:50 pm – officer on Roosevelt Road near Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop.
1:01 pm – alarm drop on East Main Street, ATM machine alarm. Individual informs officer they accidently set the alarm off.
1:24 pm- officer on South Chestnut Street near the Chestnut Package Store for a traffic stop. Agreed consent to search. Warning issued for brake lights. Unmarked pills seized.
5:08 pm – officer on Pine Lane assisting the EMS squad.
6:35 pm – Man on station to file a report in regards another coworker harassing him. The harassment has been going on for two months.
7:35 pm – officer on East Main Street near Dollar General for a traffic stop.
Thursday, February 26, 2026
6:06 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued.
6:14 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued.
11:52 am – Westview Drive resident advises she cannot see to pull out onto West Main Street. A neighbor is getting work done. The work truck is blocking the view.
4:20 pm – female caller states she needs assistance with an unruly child. Child will not stop screaming and yelling.
6:52 pm – caller from Bethesda Street requesting a welfare check.
7:51 pm – officer performed a welfare check on previous call. Officer reports the mother and child are safe.
8:24 pm – officer assisting the EMS squad for a possible stroke victim.
10:10 pm – 911 called to inform us about a runaway from Cambridge.
10:58 pm – caller from the Barnesville Hospital in regards to a drunk and disorderly male refusing to leave the hospital. The person has been asked to leave multiple times.

2:47 am – officer on South State Route 800 near Gobblers Knob for a traffic stop.
5:32 am – officer on State Route 147 for a traffic stop.
6:07 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.
10:40 am – officer on West Church Street investigating a complaint. A man is standing outside the school taking photos. Man has papers with him. Officer states that there is not much that can be done due to first amendment rights. Officer will speak to the male.
11:07 am – officer on East Main Street near McDonalds for a traffic stop.
12:44 pm – officer on East Main Street near Urgent Care for a traffic stop.
12:50 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street near West Church Street for a traffic stop.
2:17 pm – officer on Leatherwood Road for a report of a solicitor going door to door in the area. Officer had negative contact with the person.
3:01 pm – Caller from Morgantown Avenue requesting to speak with an officer regarding neighbor harassment via the doorbell camera.
3:06 pm – officer on East Main Street near Louise Lane responding to a vehicle/pedestrian accident. EMS enroute.
4:12 pm – caller from West Main Street reporting drugs and paraphernalia.
6:55 pm – caller reports a deer hit in the road. Deer appears to have run off.
7:51 pm – caller on Euclid Avenue reports there is a loose Husky dog on the street.
10:26 pm – officer on Douglas Road for a traffic stop.
10:43 pm – caller reports he was assaulted by a driver in a pickup on South Route 800 near Fairyland. Officer informed the caller he needs to go to the Belmont County Sheriff’s office to file the report.
Saturday, February 28, 2026
12:56 am – car alarm is going off in the area of Euclid Avenue. Car alarm is now off.
5:43 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Citation issued for speed.
6:16 am – officer on Bethesda Street Extension for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.
10:54 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
12:14 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
12:44 pm – caller reports a daughter was talking to a friend on snapchat that made suicidal threats. Caller made contact with the mother who reports friend is okay and will text every 15 minutes to check in.
1:40 pm – fire on Bailey Road. No animals or people inside. Empty barn with a garage. Total loss.
4:50 pm – female caller reports she is trying to get items from boyfriend’s residence on Euclid Avenue. While the dispatcher was on the phone with the female, she was yelling at boyfriend. stating you are going to hit me. Male left the residence.
8:03 pm – 911 called in requesting us to check the area of former NAPA auto parts store on Bailey Road. Alarm company called reporting receiving an SOS automatic vehicle crash notification in that area. Officer found nothing in the area.
9:08 pm – caller from Pine Lane requesting a welfare check. Caller reports hearing mom and kids yelling at each other. Male is having issues with the kid’s behavior.
9:09 pm – caller reports there is a dead deer on the sidewalk near Wendy’s. Street department notified.
10:04 pm- officer on Mulberry Street for a Jeep with 4-way flashers on. Vehicle is off the roadway and with no occupants in or near it.
10:19 pm – K9 unit requested for a traffic stop in St. Clairsville.
11:08 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
Sunday, March 1, 2026
7:58 am – officer on East Main Street near Dollar General for a traffic stop. Warning issued.
9:40 am – caller reports mother’s boyfriend’s son is in their driveway in Somerset Twp. There is a protective order against him. A deputy is enroute.
9:57 am – woman reports her boyfriend’s car got side swiped during the night. A report needs completed for insurance purposes.
10:26 am – caller from Morgantown Avenue reports he took a child to his apartment that was wandering around alone. Officer will speak to the child’s parents.
8:07 pm – caller reports son has stolen girlfriend’s car. The son is drunk and heading to the caller’s house. Dispatcher instructed caller to contact her local law enforcement agency. Officer advised of the call.
8:33 pm – individual on station requesting to speak with an officer regarding possible child abuse.
9:10 pm – 911 called advising a Be on the Look Out (BOLO) for Monroe County vehicle. The plate is expired. Car was stolen from a man’s girlfriend’s residence.
9:29 pm – 911 advises Monroe County Sheriff’s department is in active pursuit of the BOLO vehicle on State Route 379. Driver crashed vehicle near Temperanceville.
