‘Spring Forward’ Sunday

The historic Bethesda World War I Memorial town clock that was located atop the Orrison Building from 1920-2010 is a perfect reminder for citizens to move clocks forward one hour before 2 a.m. Sunday. Daylight Saving time will be observed for the next seven months. Standard Time will return Sunday, Nov. 1.

In 2017, the Bethesda clock returned nearby at the Murray Family Memorial Plaza adjacent to the municipal building. It was dedicated during a special program on Memorial Day, May 29, 2017.

Fire officials also remind citizens that this is an excellent time to change batteries on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
