Jeffrey Lee Gallaher

Jeffrey Lee Gallaher, 69, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 after a brief illness.  He was born on February 15, 1957 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of H. Lloyd and Betty Gallaher, who survive at their home.

Jeff was an employee of the former ORMET rolling Mill in Hannibal, Ohio and was a retired coal miner having worked in North American #7 mine and Schumacher mine.  He was also a preacher for the churches of Christ and served the congregations at Mt. Zion, Ozark, Armstrong Mills, Bethesda, and Bush.

In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by his wife of 49 years, Loretta Truex Gallaher, whom he married on August 21, 1976.  Also surviving are daughters, Shanna (Greg) Coss and Amanda (Jeremy) Kinney; grandchildren, Kaylee (Brett) Arnold, Abigail Kinney, Iris Kinney, Remi Coss, Lizzie Coss, and Emerald Kinney; one great-granddaughter, Alia Arnold; and one brother, Douglas (Pam) Gallaher.

The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm at the Beallsville Church of Christ, 52125 Twp Rd. 134, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.  The service will be at the church on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11am.  Jeremy Kinney will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beallsville Cemetery.
