Roselyn Jane Wells Fowler

Roselyn Jane Wells Fowler, 93, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at The Enclave Nursing Care Facility. She was born on May 11, 1932, in Jerusalem to the late Dory and Florence Murphy Wells.

Roselyn was a graduate of Beallsville High School and the Jerusalem Grade School (Monroe County). She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Junior Women’s Club and a longtime Barnesville Hospital volunteer. She had a strong interest in family genealogy and was a significant resource to others researching their own family history. Roselyn enjoyed reading and watching college sports, particularly Ohio State University athletics.

Roselyn “Rosie” was an extraordinary mother and grandmother (Ma) and a wonderful friend and neighbor.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frederick “Ted” Fowler on May 19, 2020; brothers, Myron, David, and Terry Wells; sister, Carol Wells Riley; and son-in-law, Bill Miller.

Rosie is survived by her children, Christy Kinzelman, Jodie Miller and Fred (Lisa) Fowler; grandchildren, Jonathan Kinzelman, Peter (Hanna) Kinzelman, Jordan Kinzelman, Brock (Julia) Fowler, and Lindsay Fowler; great-grandchildren, Eliot Fowler and Jessy Fowler; and brother, Larry Wells. 

The family is planning a memorial service to honor Rosie’s life at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in Roselyn’s memory, the family suggests The First United Methodist Church of Barnesville or Bush Cemetery in Malaga, Ohio.
