Monday, March 2, 2026

12:41 am – caller from Westview Drive/Pultney Avenue reports an intoxicated male is causing problems.

1:06 pm – Pine Lane caller reached out regarding an incident that occurred on February 28, involving a vehicle being hit. She states that at the time both parties agreed there was no damage and left the scene. Now, she is receiving threatening messages from the other party. Caller directed to visit the station and complete a report.

2:09 pm – officer on Mulberry Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for failure to yield.

3:17 pm – caller reports there is a warrant out for a person on Henderson Street for OVI and failure to comply.

3:19 pm – caller reports she received a tip that she was being watched by the police. Discussion with an officer about the situation followed.

4:49 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for expired plate.

5:11 pm – officer on Sandy Ridge Road, Warren Township (Olney) regarding a male that passed out in a gym after hitting his head.

5:17 pm – officer on South Lincoln Avenue for a car pulled off roadway that is currently in the parking lot of the Commons apartments. Vehicle struck a pole.  No damage reported to the pole.

7:23 pm – South Lincoln Avenue caller reports hearing movement on her front porch earlier. Caller could see someone with a headlamp or something like that on. She turned on the porch light and they were gone. Officer checked the area and nothing was found.

 8:22 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

9:50 pm – officer on Law Street for a traffic stop.

11:54 pm – officer on East State Route 147 for a traffic stop.

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

12:42 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Unable to read plates.

3:44 am – officer at the Barnesville Hospital regarding a male patient and an intentional overdose.

3:12 pm – received a call reporting a work van with no markings swerving on the Somerton Highway that hit a pole. The mirror was torn off but the van kept going towards Barnesville. Officers advised.

8:17 pm – caller stating she smell gas on Commodore Lane. Call transferred to Central Dispatch.

10:59 pm – caller from Slabtown Road, Warren Township reports a vehicle lockout. Caller was outside the vehicle collecting maple sap. Dog locked himself in the truck.

Wednesday, March 4, 2026

8:58 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

10:12 am – officer on McGhee Drive to obtain statements.

11:22 am – caller from West Main Street reports an alarm going off.

11:29 am – caller from West Main Street repots his car was hit in front of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles office. Caller was asked to visit the station to fill out a report.

7:34 pm – caller from Vine Street reports a deceased neighbor’s house has a smoke detector going off. Call was transferred it to 911 to dispatch Station 12 (Barnesville Fire and EMS).

7:41 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

7:44 pm – officer on Vine Street assisting the Assistant Fire Chief breaching a door where a smoke detector alarm was going off. It was a faulty smoke alarm.

7:55 pm – caller from Carl Street renter reports a sink hole in her yard is the size of a kiddie pool. She was advised her to contact the landlord because the depression is on private property.

8:19 pm – call received about a deer struck on State Route 147 that is still alive. The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested Barnesville Police handle the situation. The deer ran off into the tree line. Officer was unable to put the deer down.

9:47 pm – officer on East State Route 147 for a traffic stop. Warning issues for following too close.

Thursday, March 5, 2026

12:18 am – caller from Sycamore Lane reports a Peterbuilt tractor trailer is all over the road. Driver indicates it was hard to see the road because of the weather.

1:14 am – officer on Douglas Road for a traffic stop. K9 unit out with an indication of a negative search.

8:23 am – caller reports she has fielded several complaints of a weird smell coming from an apartment. Neighbor also heard glasses hitting together this morning.

9:01 am – vehicle lockout.

10:02 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

3:53 pm – caller on North Street reports her patient will not answer the door or respond to phone calls.

4:23 pm – caller from Mackey Drive regarding smelling a chemical smell coming from an apartment. The manager of the apartments also called the police this morning and it is unknown if an officer checked it out.

8:57 pm – officer on Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop. Warning issued for headlight out.

9:39 pm – male at station reports seeing a kid’s bike in a culvert on Railroad Street.

11:34 pm- officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued.

Friday, March 6, 2026

2:05 am – officer on East Main Street near North Arch Street for a traffic stop.

4:17 am – officer on East Church Street for a traffic stop.

7:53 am – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop.

9:00 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.

9:09 am – officer on South Broadway Street speaking to a person.

9:26 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.

10:09 am – female caller from Bond Avenue reports a disturbance going on in front of her home. Incident was between her husband and a delivery person about damage to boxes. The delivery person refused to leave until the police department was contacted.

10:43 am – caller from Bond Avenue reporting that a person is driving around without driver’s license.

11:24 am – caller wants information on a Barnesville resident to see if that person could remove him from a residence. Dispatcher advised that the person in question has passed away.

2:32 pm – officer on Slabtown Road for a traffic stop.

2:54 pm – caller wanting to know if she has a warrant out for failure to pay fines. Advised to call back later and talk to an officer.

4:10 pm – call received from Barnesville Hospital regarding a three-year-old  who ingested a marijuana laced brownie. The child was at babysitter’s house.

4:43 pm – officer on Mackey Drive for follow up investigation related to a previous call.

7:03 pm – caller from West Church Street reports hearing kids screaming and yelling. Person thinks there is a group of kids who may be fighting. An officer checked the area and didn’t find or hear anyone in the area.

7:09 pm – caller from Pine Lane reports hearing a bang outside that sounded like a gunshot. Dispatcher told officer and the bang was also heard at the station. Officer had negative contact in the patrolled area.

7:16 pm – caller asking how to file a report. Report should be filed with the agency where the incident took place.

7:45 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue called about the previous call about a boom sound in the area. The caller can hear water running into a storm drain and wonders if that could be the cause of the sound. The village administrator states water running into a storm drain would not cause the sound.

11:34 pm – officer on East State Route 147 for a traffic stop.

Saturday, March 7, 2026

5:55 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

9:31 am – caller from West Main Street reports an alarm going off. She states that it is a Level 1 and everything seems to be secure.

10:30 am – person called in regarding a case that happened yesterday. Caller wants to know if there is anything to do beside waiting for the prosecutor’s office to make contact. It is now in the hands of the prosecutor’s office.

10:51 am – female caller asking about her fines. She wants to know if there is a warrant for her arrest, due to failure to pay the fines.

12:04 pm – male on station to make a complaint about neighbor’s rental house with trash and other items in the yard. Officer spoke with the male. The house is located on West Main Street.

6:21 pm – 911 called about a hang up call from Parkview Lane, Warren Township. They asked if we would send an officer to check it out. Elderly female on the phone with her grandson is unaware of any 911 call.

 8:00 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

9:03 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

11:18 pm – officer on South Route 800 for a traffic stop.

11:21 pm – officer on Somerton Highway for a traffic stop. Officer out checking on a person and reported all is well.

Sunday, March 8, 2026

12:16 pm – caller reports his girlfriend damaged his truck door during an argument. She has left the scene. He wants to talk to an officer but doesn’t want to file a complaint. If it happens again, he will press charges.

12:47 pm – caller from Memorial Park reports a man with two kids is physically abusing them and pushing one down the slide.

12:49 pm – female caller from the previous call about child abuse reports. h=He left the park in a truck.

12:53 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop related to the previous calls about the possible child abuse.

1:57 pm – caller from High Street reports a neighbor yelling profanities in the yard while complaining about garbage in the yard.

2:11 -pm – officer on High Street regarding a fight. Officer separated both parties.

4:28 pm – 911 advised of a submerged truck in Slope Creek Reservoir.

8:20 pm – caller from Fairmont Avenue reports a possible domestic situation hearing a male and female screaming at each other. They both went back into the house. Female overheard saying get your hands off me. Officer reports all is well.

9:25 pm – call from the Barnesville Hospital regarding a combative patient.
