Barry Peters
Barry Peters, 62, of Quaker City, Ohio passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 19, 1963, in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Larry and Judith Ann (Smith) Peters.
Barry was a 1982 graduate of Barnesville High School. Following high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army and later served in the United States Air Force Reserves. After his military service, he attended Belmont Technical College.
Barry was a hardworking man who spent many years in various trades within the construction field, earning a reputation for his dedication and skill. After meeting the love of his life, Judy, he worked alongside her in operating the Bethesda Market for several years. In 2009, Barry and his beloved wife, Judy, opened the Barry Peters Insurance Agency in Barnesville, where they continued to serve their community together.
Barry was born again in October of 1998, and from that time forward, he lived his life with a passion for sharing his faith and evangelizing others. He was a devoted preacher at Mt. Zion Bible Teaching Church in Belmont.
Barry had a deep love for the outdoors, especially enjoying time spent golfing and fishing. He and his wife, Judy, also shared a passion for travel, often taking trips together centered around his love of the game of golf.
Barry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Judy Anne (Nikolaus) Peters who he married on January 10, 2004; brother, Daniel (Julie) Peters of Barnesville; niece, Lindsey (Steve) Brown of Barnesville; and great-nephew, Connor Brown; uncle, Jay Peters of Quaker City; his father, George (Lana) Kekovich of Florida; special friends, Jack Dollison of Quaker City who has become like a son and Amanda Byler of Salesville who has become like a daughter.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will take place at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio
