Monday, March 9, 2026

5:38 am – call from West Main Street about a male becoming agitated while waiting for a cab. Caller wants an officer there until the cab arrives. An officer took the male to the Exit 202, I-70 where he will be transferred to The Ohio State Highway Patrol.

12:38 pm – caller from West Highland Avenue reports someone turned cameras off over the weekend. Items were stolen. Caller wants extra patrols in the area.

1:45 pm – officer on East Main Street near Beeology for a traffic stop.

3:19 pm – caller reports they are following a blue jeep coming into Barnesville on State Route 147. The vehicle is all over the roadway. Officer notified.

3:38 pm – caller from North Broadway Street reporting two solicitors in the area. The solicitors are going door to door. Officer reports both males will be leaving the village.

5:49 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

7:05 pm – male on station reporting he lost a gun on Leatherwood Road. While making a left turn the gun fell off the truck. An officer and the man searched the area finding the gun.

10:44 pm – officer on Railroad Street regarding a truck blocking the bike trail. Owner was told to move it earlier and he did not move it. Citation issued.

11:23 pm – caller from Mackey Drive stating that she is being harassed by a neighbor about odors coming from her apartment. She reports the harassment has caused her to be evicted. She was advised to come to the station to file charges about harassment. She requested an officer visit her residence to discuss the situation.

11:56 pm – caller from previous call regarding harassment. She says the person has posted negative remarks online about her. She cannot come to the station as there is no one to watch her three children.

Tuesday, March 10, 2026

1:48 am – officer on North Broadway Street regarding a vehicle in the middle of the roadway.

4:57 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

10:46 am – caller reports a male is walking around East Main Street acting suspicious. Officer spoke to the male who said he was walking to his friend’s house. The friend wasn’t home. Everything checked out.

10:49 am – caller states a loose dog is in the vicinity of South Lincoln Avenue and Franklin Street. It is a black dog with a red collar.

11:27 am – officer on East Main Street near Save A lot for a traffic stop.

11:41 am – business manager reporting a car that has been in the lot for three months. Caller asks if we are able to run the plate and let them know the name of the owner. Police cannot do that. Suggested the caller contact a towing company.

3:19 pm – caller from Euclid Avenue reports a Dodge Charger is driving recklessly on High Street and Euclid Avenue.

5:20 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

5:51 pm – caller from South Broadway Street reports a dog followed him home. He wanted to find information on the dog. Caller asked to call the Animal Shelter.

6:07 pm – caller reports a Chevy truck is driving reckless all over the road. The vehicle almost struck a couple of vehicles.

6:17 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

 6:26 pm – brown dog with an orange collar found on East Church Street.

6:38 pm – another call about a brown lab on West Main Street.

7:54 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

11:31 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue reporting her ex is at her home knocking on the door. He won’t leave and she doesn’t want him there. Male was advised by officer the matter is a civil one.

11:37 pm – caller requesting extra patrols on Euclid/North Lincoln and High Street about the Dodge Charger earlier reported as reckless. Caller indicates multiple people are upset about the matter. Officers told extra patrols are needed.

Wednesday, March 11, 2026

12:00 am – caller from Morgantown Avenue as noted in previous log reports the male still will not leave the property. Male was told to leave and go to the courts to address the situation.

12:12 am – officer on North Arch Street for a traffic stop. Citation issued.

1:07 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

3:04 am – caller from Mt. Olivett Road reports a tree down on a power line.

12:02 pm – caller from Mt. Olivett Road reporting a power line down and a tree across the road. AEP enroute. Will check to see if the tree is in the village or township.

12:38 pm – male on station about issues with neighbor. People are urinating outside the residence that has junk and debris scattered about the exterior. Property needs abated. Note left for officer.

2:33 pm – male caller reports that the driver of a vehicle going all about town has no license. The vehicle all over the road and is heading into town from the east.

 3:30 pm – caller states that a male is driving without driver’s license. Vehicle has been pulled into the Pit Stop area on E. Main. Officers notified.

5:04 pm – officer on Hunts Avenue serving papers.

5:20 pm – male on station to file a complaint against a person due to a prior altercation.

5:42 pm – officer served abatement papers.

5:42 pm – man states that he would like a welfare check in on his younger brother. There is arguing and screaming going on. Officer responded and found no one at home at this residence.

5:55 pm – female caller reports her stepson’s mother took her son without her permission. She wanted an officer to assist her getting him back. She was advised to call the Bemont County Sheriff’s department.

6:24 pm – female caller from Mackey Drive would like to press charges against a neighbor. She would like an officer to come and talk to her.

6:47 pm – caller from Mackey Drive indicates a mother left kids strapped into car seats while she took off.

7:47 pm – caller from Quaker City reports a credit card that she did not apply for. They have her husband’s social security number. As this is a Guernsey County matter she was recommended to contact the Guernsey County Sheriff’s department.

9:10 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

Thursday, March 12, 2026

5:58 am – officer on Gobblers Knob for a traffic stop.

5:58 am – alarm drop on West Church Street. Keyholder is on site and everything is fine.

8:50 am – officer on South Lincoln Avenue for a traffic stop. Warning issued for turn signal.

9:49 am – caller from High Street wants to speak with an officer. She reports neighbors are yelling at all hours of the night. Someone is living in a camper on the property.

2:43 pm – officer on Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop. Warning issued for expired registration.

5:28 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

7:04 pm – female caller reporting that there is a car driving recklessly on State Route 148.

7:47 pm – officer on Barnesville/Hendrysburg Road for a traffic stop. Vehicle has a flat tire. Officers are assisting.

9:23 pm – female caller reported possible water line break on South Chestnut Street near the Catholic Cemetery. Water Department notified.

Friday, March 13, 2026

9:23 am – male caller reports a man recently bought an old FedEx truck that still retains company logos on the body. Caller states that it is illegal. Dispatcher was unsure if it violates any laws unless the male is impersonating a FedEx employee. Officers advised of the situation.

9:48 am – caller states a month ago, he asked if a truck can be moved. The truck hasn’t moved in a year. Officer said he saw them jump start and move it recently.

11:03 am – officer on Baily Road, Warren Township for a vehicle lockout.

1:13 pm -officer on State Route East 147 near Tacoma for a traffic stop.

4:39 pm – tree down on Railroad Street.

4:41 pm – caller from Watt Avenue reports a power pole is down in her yard and the line is on the ground. AEP notified.

4:56 pm – caller from East Main Street reports of a downed power line across the road. East Main Street is blocked due to the line in the road. AEP enroute.

5:47 pm – report of a tree in the road on Prospect Street. Street department will send someone out.

5:57 pm – received a call about trees down on State Route 147. ODOT is aware of the situation.

5:59 pm – officer on State Route 800 for a traffic stop. Consent given to search the vehicle. Negative search.

6:16 pm – male caller states that trees are in the road on State Route 379, Maclelery Road, going into Temperanceville. Ohio State Highway Patrol notified.

6:17 pm – female caller states that there is a tree down and on the road on Leatherwood Pike between the old drive in theater and the bottom of Barnesville hill. The Ohio State Highway Patrol notified.

6:26 pm -report of power lines down on Fairview and Lowe Road. The Ohio State Highway Patrol notified.

6:32 pm – female caller reports that a street sign was blown off of the pole at the corner of North Lincoln Avenue and High Street.

6:35 pm – female caller from West Main Street states that there are lines down behind her home. They were AT&T lines.

7:03 pm -reports of a dumpster blowing into a truck near the library annex on N. chestnut and Euclid.

7:11 pm – male caller states that there was phone or fiber-optic line down across the Somerton Highway. Man in a SUV cut the lines in two and cleared them off the road.

7:12 pm – male caller reports that the phone lines are down on Franklin Street.

7:14 pm – male caller reporting that the village garage cans that are in the village owned East Main Street parking lot have blown over. Trash is blowing all around. A man set the trash can back up.

8:13 pm – caller states that there is broken glass in front of a building on East Main Street.

9:01 pm – glass from upper window has been moved as close as possible to the building.

9:30 pm – caller from a South Chestnut Street business reports a customer is harassing staff. Caller would like an officer on site. People that are knocking on the door were not the ones harassing the staff at the drive thru earlier.

10:26 pm – female caller reporting that there is a tree blocking Grape Hollow Road in Salesville. Dispatcher contacted Guernsey 911 to report the issue.

Saturday, March 14 2026

1:03 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for headlights.

5:56 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

3:09 pm – miscellaneous, East Walnut Street.

3:22 pm – officer on East Pike Street for a vehicle repossession.

4:32 pm – officer on East Main Street near Grace Avenue for a two-vehicle accident at the location of the temporary traffic light. Parties are arguing in the roadway.

4:33 pm – officer on South Broadway Street where someone tried to break into a garage. Noticed pry marks on it were attempt of force entry.

4:43 pm – female caller asking about the police log that is on The Barnesville Area News. She is asking for information for the exact address related to the call at 4:50 pm on March 4, where a female was trying to retrieve items on Euclid Avenue reporting a female yelling at a boyfriend due to the children being present. Dispatcher advised  address digits are redacted from the public log before they are released to Barnesville Area News.

7:12 pm – officer on South Lincoln Avenue about being flagged down and talking to a person. The person was talking about a boy on East Main Street. Officer will follow up on the situation on East Main Street.

7:15 pm – officer on East Main Street for a follow up investigation of the prior log. Officer did not see a little boy near the roadway.

7:53 pm – officer on West Main Street assisting a semi-truck driver heading to the sale barn. Driver is trying to back down South Gardner Street but is unable to do so. Driver took a wrong turn and ended up at the end of West Church Street.

Sunday, March 15, 2026

1:09 am – traffic stop. Citation issued.

11:27 am – semi-truck driver called about trying to get down South Gardner Street to the sale barn. Driver requested an officer to assist with traffic control by getting vehicles moved.

4:45 pm – officer on Bailey Road, Warren Township for a vehicle lockout.

4:50 pm – caller reports loud music again all night long last night and early this morning. Caller asked to call when the noise is taking place so department can dispatch an officer to address it.

6:16 pm – caller reports his vehicle is broken down at the park entrance. The vehicle is out of the way of traffic. Waiting for tow truck. Officer talked to him.

8:03 pm – caller from North Street reporting a neighbor that left for the mall with two individuals and has not returned. Caller wants to talk to an officer.

8:40 pm – caller reports she saw a cigarette fly out of a public storage shed and the door is open a little bit. Officer checked both storage sheds on Railroad Street and Mt. Olivett Road. Officer reported all units were shut and locked.

11:36 pm – officer flagged down on Henderson Street near the Dairy Queen regarding a found PayPal card. Officer has the card.
