Mock Trial Staged at Barnesville Middle School

Belmont County Juvenile and Probate Court Judge Albert E. Davis brough his annual Mock Trail program to Barnesville Middle School this past week.

The goal of the program that the judge conducts each school year is to educate local middle and high school students about the juvenile court system, legal consequences, and rehabilitation.

The programs feature cases designed to deter students from engaging in risky behaviors including drug use, violence, and social media bullying.

Seventh and eighth grade students at BMS received “a valuable, real-world look into the judicial process while also answering questions,” the school release said.
