Barnesville VFD Receives Donation
Local representatives of Buckeye Whitetail Nation recently donated $1,200 toward the purchase of four Indian Backpack Fire Pumps that have been added to the Barnesville Fire Department.
Indian Backpack Fire Pumps (often called Indian Tanks) are durable five-gallon portable water systems designed specifically for fighting wildland, brush, and grass fires.
“Having this equipment on hand will help our firefighters respond more effectively to those types of calls and better protect our community, “the department release said.

Buckeye Whitetail Nation hosts conservation and hunting-related events in Ohio and stages an annual banquet that recently took place March 7 at Deerassic Park Education Center, Cambridge.
In the 33 years of the organization’s existence, over half a million dollars has been donated to “our charitable endeavors in the outdoor world,” an organization publication notes.
