Monday, March 16, 2026
3:50 am – officer on State Route 147 for a traffic stop. Warning issued.
12:06 pm – male caller, asking if it is legal to have a goat in town, was told he can have a goat, but there are ordinances that must be followed.
12:40 pm – female caller asks what can be done about her ex-husband driving a truck that is still in her name. Dispatcher responded, it is a civil matter.
4:37 pm – caller from East Main Street reporting a vehicle accident on Chestnut Street between a vehicle and a gas and oil truck near the Ohio Hills Health Services. No injuries were reported.
8:06 pm – caller reports there is a man walking in the roadway near Tacoma on State Route East 147 with a headlamp on. Caller transferred to The Ohio State Highway Patrol as the man was walking away from town.
8:08 pm – call from The Ohio State Highway Patrol requesting an officer to check into the previous call. Officer made contact with the man who is now out of the roadway.
8:56 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue investigating a complaint.
9:41 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

2:31 am – officer on East Main Street near Bethesda Street for a traffic stop. Plate obscured.
7:51 am – officer on Euclid Avenue for a vehicle lockout.
10:59 am – officer on Mulberry Street for a traffic stop.
1:28 pm – officer at the BellStores for a vehicle lockout.
2:11 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Parking ticket issued for parking in a no parking zone.
3:21 pm – caller from Shamrock Drive reports a utility line going across her driveway is down. Officer reports the line appears to be for an internet.
5:38 pm – woman on Pine Lane reports her ex-husband refuses to leave the residence.
7:13 pm – caller from West Main Street reports a manhole cover is off. Water Department notified.
7:51 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
8:35 pm – suspicious vehicle reported at the Rotary Lake, Memorial Park.
9:21 pm – officer on North Arch Street/Cherry Street for a traffic stop.
9:28 pm – officer on West Main Street for a traffic stop.
11:07 pm – officer on Woodland Avenue for complaint of loud music. Officer reports negative contact.
11:33 pm – three calls received about a possible domestic situation. Male heard screaming “call the cops”. Officer enroute to East Church Street to interview a woman.

1:12 am – officer on Woodland Avenue investigating a complaint of loud music. Officer drove through the area and did not hear music.
5:46 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.
7:10 am – officer on West South Street regarding house siding on fire.
7:17 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. Front door motion active. Alarm company called back and after making contact with keyholder who believes it is a construction crew.
10:08 am – probation officer reporting a person who has cut off ankle monitor and is no longer at parents’ home. The person is suspected to be in the Barnesville area.
11:19 am – caller from East Main Street reporting an individual is standing in the middle of the roadway attempting to flag down traffic. Person got into a vehicle and heading towards Bethesda.
12:21 pm – caller from North Broadway Street reporting a suspicious male walking around looking into parked cars. The male has now left the area.
1:23 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
2:56 pm – female caller wants to speak to an officer.
8:09 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street/Bond Avenue for a traffic stop. Warning issued for headlight. Field sobriety test administered. Officer reports driver was cleared to drive.
9:50 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Female taking vehicle to a mechanic with her husband following behind. Warning issued for rear lights.
9:53 pm – officer on North Broadway Street for a welfare check. Person lost her phone. Medical treatment refused.

8:04 am – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop.
8:34 am – caller from Somerton Highway reports keys locked in car. Call came from outside the corporation.
12:25 pm – caller reports her children’s father is yelling at her about a car battery. All verbal, no weapons involved.
4:15 pm – officer on State Route 147 East near the former NAPA store for a traffic stop.
4:53 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
5:11 pm – alarm drop on West Main Street related to front door motion detector. Negative contact with the keyholder. All is secure.
5:43 pm – officer on State Route 800 south near Burkart’s Nursery for a traffic stop.
6:30 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
8:22 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
10:27 pm – caller asks if the police can give a patient a ride home. Police cannot. It is a liability issue.

3:40 am – officer on East Main Street assisting EMS.
8:05 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
8:27 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.
2:32 pm – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop.
2:43 pm – officer on Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop.
5:05 pm – caller from Railroad Street reporting vehicles parked on the walking trail.
5:34 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
5:50 pm – caller from Vine Street reports a suspicious male. The male is looking around houses.. Officer reports negative contact with the male.

12:49 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
9:27 am – female caller states that there is a large white dog running loose on Putney Ridge. She wanted to know if anyone reported the dog missing. No such calls received.
4:56 pm – officer on Mackey Drive to serve a warrant for failure to appear.
5:06 pm – caller asks that an officer call them back. Caller requesting a welfare check on a person that had a break up with another person. Welfare check was completed and that person is okay.
5:19 pm – officer on East Main Street assisting the EMS squad.
5:46 pm – individual on station speaking to an officer regarding the individual that was just picked up by police.
5:47 pm – caller lost a black bag with skulls. Person asked if it was turned into the station. Dispatcher will call if it is turned in.
7:42 pm – caller reports someone struck a deer on Mt. Olivett Road near Willow Smith Road. Person states that the deer is still alive. Caller advised to call The Belmont County Sheriff’s department because the location is outside the corporation.
8:59 pm – caller reports daughter was with her boyfriend earlier and he was refusing to bring her home. Caller picked her up, but the boyfriend has her wallet and is refusing to give it back. Person wants to talk to an officer and is on station for conversation.
9:30 pm – person reports she got her wallet back.
9:35 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for headlight.
9:45 pm – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop. Warning issued for brake lights.
10:13 pm – caller stating behind a driver on State Route 800 South who is all over the roadway. Call transferred to The Ohio State Highway Patrol.
10:45 pm – caller whispering that she had a threat made toward her. She states that she is in Quaker City. She was advised she needs to contact the Guernsey County Sheriff’s department.
11:30 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

8:17 am – caller from East South Street reporting finding a purse on the sidewalk in front of their house.
9:37 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
10:25 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
10:34 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
10:55 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.
6:30 pm – female states that her daughter found a live bat and put it in her backpack. They were advised to release the bat.
8:30 pm – male on station regarding threats asks to speak to an officer.
10:08 pm – transformer fire on Grace Avenue and Pine Lane.
10:13 pm – alarm drop on Bond Avenue. Officer reported the building is secure and it’s likely the alarm drop was a result of a power outage.
10:19 pm – caller asks if there is a tornado. Dispatch is not aware of anything.
11:00 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue reporting a car is in the middle of the roadway. Car is now moved.
11:07 pm – same caller from previous log reports cars are parked in the alley at the end of Henderson Street. Officer notified.
