Mary Ellen Pittman

Mary Ellen Pittman, 69, of Armstrongs Mills, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at her home. She was born July 17, 1956 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John Louis and Irene Mae Manning Geary.

Mary was a former STNA with Beacon House Assisted Living in St. Clairsville. She enjoyed her craft work, puzzles, games on her phone, TV and planting flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings; a stepson, Isaac Pittman.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence S. Pittman of Armstrongs Mills; her children, Thomas Henry (Erin Hubbs) Haapapuro, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Chandra Dawn (Don) Szasz of Beallsville, Ohio; step children, Eddie (Christy) Pittman of Wooster, Ohio, Clarissa Pittman of Woodsfield, Ohio; a sister, Kathleen “Katie” Baker of Moundsville, West Virginia; step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 pm until time of funeral services at 4 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating. Final arrangements will be held at the convience of the family.
