Monday, March 23, 2026

2:54 am – officer on Shamrock Drive with the fire department for an alarm drop.

5:29 am – officer on West Main Street investigating a complaint about a light flashing in a building. Officer reports it was a fire alarm.

6:08 am – alarm drop on Dusty Lane in Warren Township. Alarm drop was due to the power outage in the area.

11:23 am – officer on East Main Street near Walgreens for a traffic stop.

12:11 pm – vehicle is being repossessed on South Broadway Street. Owner is aware.

1:50 pm – officer on West Church Street with two vehicles parked on the sidewalk. Both vehicles were moved.

5:03 pm – male on station reporting that he has been receiving disturbing videos from a website that he doesn’t recognize. The messages are threatening that if he doesn’t send money, they will post negative images of him.

5:47 pm – male on station reporting his car was backed into at the BellStores.

6:03 pm – caller from previous call about internet threats requesting a welfare check on his mother who lives on East Main Street.

8:05 pm – caller reports he has received another text from the unknown website. He was advised not to respond to the text and to block the number.

8:50 pm – caller from Washington Street reports an email was sent to him about a child with a suicidal issue. Officer spoke with the father and the juvenile who stated that he never felt that way. Officer told the juvenile that if he ever feels that way, he needs to reach out for care.

8:57 pm – officer on State Route 147 near Speidel for a traffic stop.

9:54 pm – caller staties she saw a post on Facebook that a person was in a new relationship. She wants the police to locate him.

10:07 pm – caller reports a male who is intoxicated has left a recovery facility and is walking towards the BellStores.

11:01 pm – previous caller now reports she believes the person she saw was on Instagram.

11:03 pm – officer on East Main Street for a welfare check on the woman that her son had requested.

Tuesday, March 24, 2026

5:54 am – officer on East Main Street for a follow up investigation.

10:18 am – officer on East Main Street regarding a loose German Shepherd dog near the BellStores. Caller almost struck the dog with a vehicle.

11:57 am – officer on South Gardner Street for a vehicle accident. Vehicle struck a pole and a building. Vehicle left the scene of the accident.

1:00 pm- caller reports a stolen cell phone.

5:03 pm – caller states he needs to speak with his brother but has lost his phone number. Police contacted brother who said the brother already has his number because he keeps calling him. He doesn’t wish to speak with him.

6:23 pm – caller from High Street stating that they got everything cleaned up.

Wednesday, March 25, 2026

7:45 am – officer on West Church Street near the Elementary School for a traffic stop. Citation issued for a traffic control device.

9:55 am – officer asks dispatch to contact street department about a downed stop sign at Legget Street and an alley.

2:44 pm – office on Sandy Ridge Road for a traffic stop. Citation issued for speed.

3:11 pm – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop.

3:33 pm – caller reports they located a stolen firearm. Valid hit on the stolen firearm.

3:42 pm – possible dryer fire in commercial building on Bond Avenue.

6:22 pm – caller from Mt. Olivett/Fairview Street reports children are driving four wheelers on Mt. Olivett Road.

Thursday, March 26, 2026

10:52 am – caller advising he had ordered a $1,200 guitar. It was sent to his previous address instead of his current one. FedEx tried to retrieve the item several times but the homeowner will not answer the door. Caller wants to know if an officer could go to the address and ask the homeowner to send the guitar back with FedEx.

2:35 pm – caller from East Main Street near Beeology asking if the police would ask a neighbor with a “$% TRUMP” flag on their porch to take it down. Dispatcher responded they could not  do so. (It is on private property- ED).

4:08 pm – caller advises police that she would have to leave her car parked in front of an address on East Main Street for the night. She will move the car the next day.

4;21 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue requesting a welfare check on her grandson. Officer made contact with the grandson and his mother. All is well.

7:19 pm – person on station to show proof of a restraining order.

9:31 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

9:51 pm – caller from Washington Street reports Facebook threats directed towards her children.

Friday, March 27, 2026

1:00 am – alarm drop on South Chestnut Street showing zone 1 entry door. All is secure.

5:05 am – officer on State Route 147 for a traffic stop.

5:21 am – caller reports a tree in the roadway on Mulberry Street. Tree was removed.

9:21 am – officer on East Main Street for a semi-truck parked facing the wrong direction. Semi-truck is parked over the double yellow line.

1:07 pm – private property accident on North Chestnut Street.

5:44 pm – officer on South State Route 800 for a traffic stop.

10:07 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reporting theft by an employee.

11:20 pm – officer on Fairview Road for a traffic stop.

Saturday, March 28, 2026

6:10 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.

8:13 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

10:04 am – officer on Park Street for a vehicle lockout.

11:20 am – 911 advised that they received a hang up call from a facility.  Dispatch spoke to a nurse. They did not call 911 and they will check rooms.

11:26 am – caller from Wiley Avenue about shutting off their water. They have another water line break. The water department will check it out.

1:20 pm -caller from East Main Street reporting threating messages. Person wants to speak to an officer.

 1:37 pm – officer on Wiley Avenue attempting to serve a warrant. Female is inside refusing to come to the door.

5:21 pm – officer on East Main Street for a vehicle lockout.

5:31 pm – caller asked if his driver’s license is suspended. He advised that he got a text message saying that his license was suspended.  This is a scam. The BMV will never text citizens.

7:10 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street for a follow up investigation.

11:48 pm – caller from Franklin Street reports hearing an ongoing party. Now it sounds like a fight broke out. Officer in the area and didn’t hear anything. Officer will check out the South Lincoln Avenue and Barnesville Commons area. Officer did not hear anything.

Sunday, March 29, 2026

3:00 am – officer on West Church Street regarding a juvenile walking in the middle of the night. He was told of the curfew. He was walking home from a friend’s house.

3:41 am – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for turn signal. Driver was given a field sobriety test and is okay to drive. Parents of the other two individuals in the vehicle came and picked them up.

7:29 am – caller from Carl Street reporting theft/larceny. Officer out  for follow up investigation.

11:40 am – officer on Fairview Road was flagged down about a breaking and entering at a barn. 911 called, two county units enroute.

3:00 pm – caller reports a group of kids standing on the shelter near the Mother’s Club building at Memorial Park. They are ripping off shingles and tossing them at each other. Officers are enroute.

4:41 pm – male on station wants to speak to an officer.

7:29 pm – caller states there is a small black dog running around the area of South Garnder Street.

11:49 pm – caller from Mackey Drive reporting neighbors possibly doing drugs. Caller can smell it. Officer enroute.
