A New Look!
When the new People’s Drug Store opened at 901 E. Main Street on Barnesville’s eastside over 40 years ago, the building sported a then popular rustic look of weathered wooden siding that caped the top section of the two street-facing facades.
While a commercial rustic look fell out of favor decades ago, the building for the business that transitioned to Rite Aid and finally, Walgreens, continued to sport the “weathered look”.
That is changing this week as workers replace the wood with crisp, green metal panels.
